Thank you.
Looking forward to it!

That show hasn't really been on my radar (don't know why, it sounds right up my history-nerd alley). But after reading some of the comments here I just added it to my binge-watch list. Your comment decided for me.

I recently read that one of the things we know about him is that he was considered cruel even by Viking standards. That, combined with his intelligence and the skills you described, makes for a memorable character.

She is indeed, and that's a perfect example.
It's obvious that Ragnar rues the day he cheated on Lagertha with her, and changed the course of their lives.
Btw, I read an article that said there's some sort of major smack-down coming up between those two ladies. My money's on Lagertha.
I was going to post a link but

Beats me. But that would be sooo nice if the next hiatus were shorter.

I was really touched by the "I love you" scene between Ragnar and Floki. I thought "Poor Floki, that's all he's ever really wanted"…and just as it was bringing a tear to my eye I remembered how he so mercilessly murdered Athelstan (and how much it hurt Ragnar). I think that tear stopped mid-duct. And yet the feeling

Yes, he left the baby alone to die. Aslaug came and took Ivar back home. They did have a touching conversation afterward about the situation. I think Ragnar then chalked it up to the gods' will that he live after all. My point was that Ragnar didn't save the baby as was stated in the review.

I found this review insightful and I enjoyed reading it, but I have to mention one thing…Ragnar did not save the infant Ivar. It was a heart-wrenching scene. Ragnar took him to the water's edge and was crying as he was about to kill him. Aslaug swept in and saved the baby…from Ragnar. The show then illustrated how she

You, however, have the ability to be objective and self-analytical in a positive way…an important trait that Ivar is and will be sorely lacking.
I don't think you sound sociopathic at all, but like a person with great understanding of yourself and empathy for other's feelings. Not only an admirable trait, but one you

There's a maddeningly long time lapse between seasons of many of my favorite shows. And in this case, I don't know why they even called it a mid-season break. Well, I do know it has to do with number of episodes ordered per season, etc. But criminy, it feels like we've been without this show almost as long as the

If you ever do watch Black Sails, be sure to watch from the start or you'll get lost…at sea. And if you've never seen the Russell Crowe film "Master and Commander: the Far Side of the World", catch it sometime. Your mention of the Royal Navy reminded me of it. It would be right up your alley.
Oh, and I watched the

Black Sails is a beautifully filmed, rip-roaring pirate series. Gorgeous visuals and scenery..interesting, layered story..good acting. It's not about a specific historical figure, but is wonderfully evocative of a fascinating time and place, and lifestyle. It begins in 1715, in the Caribbean, and some of it involves

Maybe with some strategically placed grass stains on the dress. Just to make him even more perplexed.

The jeans…and as soon as she wakes up and the doctor describes how the placenta is partly separated from the uterine wall and she must be careful, what does she do? Walk out to the graves and drop into a deep squat.
I flinched.

Sounds exactly like my cup of tea! It's been in my queue for several months, and I keep passing it over, too. With historical series or films I'm always drawn to the ancient world (specifically Rome, Greece, Egypt), the medieval world (any part of Europe), and as an American Anglophile, any time period in British

I had to laugh at myself when I read your question. Only went fishing once, caught a catfish and put it back.
A green thumb? I'm great with critters but not plants (kept a cactus garden alive for a while, but that's about it). I've always done animal rescue and have been called an animal whisperer. Dogs and cats run

Andrew and Danai do a good job conveying warmth and affection. They make it look real enough that I'm touched by those moments, then immediately start worrying about them.

Because Dale and Herschel were both dear older gentlemen who were the moral compass of the show, maybe. And I loved them both, and miss them.
Just occurred to me perhaps that's the kind of character they need now. Someone along those lines with a little real wisdom for our protagonists.

Maybe he's the first?
No, wait. She had a kid and boyfriend before the apocalypse.
Then again she and Andrea had a beautiful friendship that could've been more, according to some.
I don't know. I just know I've been on board with Richonne since they gave each other "a look" back at the prison, and later that magical

I respectfully submit my request, well in advance, to join you and your mom should the need arise. I'm sure I have some skills and could contribute…
Who am I kidding. I wouldn't make it past day one. Sounds like you sure would though.
