I saw that, too. He looked and acted sweet. You should google "Tom Payne as Monmouth" images. That wig must've weighed a ton, but he wore it well…fashion of the day and all.

I have "Marco Polo" in my Netflix queue (I love historical costume dramas plus there were a lot of positive viewer reviews), and didn't know he was in it! I might have to bump it up and watch it sooner rather than later.
Thanks for the info. Did you like it?
I liked when Jesus and Sasha accidentally grabbed each other…"Sorry!" there by the Gremlin. It reminded me of so many films and tv shows where in almost every bar-room brawl or saloon fight friends and protagonists nearly wallop each other.
Just watched a classic Western the other night, McClintock, where the whole…
I spent part of this episode worrying about the watch. It bothered me a little when Maggie left it on Glenn's grave, I was relieved when it was "returned" to her, then I winced a little when she gave it to Enid.
Of course it's her right to do as she wishes, but I kept thinking about when Herschel gave it to Glenn.…
My thoughts exactly. I was just making a similar point about our system in another comment, not realizing you'd just posted this one.
Couldn't agree more.
Doubt if I need to remind you, and I wasn't going for irony as much as optimism and hope. This is a much larger nation with more variables involved, and there are a lot of people (including in government) who will be watchful and utilize legal checks and balances if necessary. So, I'm doing my best to be positive.
Love those tender moments (kissy-face) between Rick and Michonne.
He can't destroy America in four years (or less). He can do some damage, yes. But we'll still be here, and hopefully on the upswing. There are a lot of good people out there who'll be working to heal any wounds.
Viva la resistance!
Just last night I watched the first two episodes of a British mini-series called "New Worlds", starring Jamie Dornan. I kept wondering "who IS that" playing a young, handsome and oh-so-haughty Duke of Monmouth, illegitimate son of Charles II. Finally looked it up and it was our own Tom Payne aka Jesus. It's fairly…
They will, once they calm down a little.
I just posted a reply to Figplucker commiserating with him or her and sending out wishes for a better year ahead. Then I saw this and your previous comment about your year. By all means let me extend those wishes and hopes for a better year to you as well. Loss of a pet and…
My year started the same way (don't laugh, but her name was Fluffetta…19 years of love and sweetness), so I know how you feel. And I'll have the same ordeal coming up again in the not-too-distant future. So I've been pretty much living for good tv (and good books), too. You're probably not ready, but when you are,…
I get choked up at commercials (dogs, cats, older parents, veterans, anything remotely sentimental or touching), so I'm sure I would, too. But I like that about a show, the fact it can move me. You all are making me "curiouser and curiouser" about it.
Well, then…hey, y'all!!!
(Couldn't resist, as one Southerner to another).
Growing up, my family drove from Kentucky down through Georgia on our way to Florida for vacation every year and often stopped along the way. I always enjoyed hearing the different regional accents. A lot of people don't realize how many…
I don't watch that show, but if he were added to the cast I'd probably start. He just always tickles me.
I think I'd actually pay for that!
I didn't know that. Now I definitely have to watch it!
I know. He was only there long enough to make me miss Liz.
That's what I've heard. I heard it was the season with some actual pathos, that it's touching at some point, in spite of the violence. I'll have to brace myself, then watch for the performances.
Not familiar with that, might have to look into it.
I loved him on "Boston Legal" and (way back) on "Hearts Afire". Did either air in the UK?
I'm a Kentuckian, and he's from the bordering state of Tennessee, so I get a kick out of the whole "Southern" thing, including his accent.
