That was one of his best lines, along with "Honestly, I'd murder for a Coke Zero"!
He was completely unrecognizable as Jether, one of the Polk boys (the kind of pitiful one that Lee killed).
I didn't know it was him, either.
Lana was a completely new character for me being as I didn't see Asylum. I didn't know her back-story at all but still found the interview scene riveting. Some fellow commenters have recommended Asylum. Now, I might have to break down and watch it.
And so we reach the end…
This is the first season of AHS that I've watched from beginning to end, without missing an episode. I've found it really enjoyable (except for those moments when I've wondered if Mr. Murphy could do with a little psychiatric counseling).
I've also thoroughly enjoyed both the reviews and…
I was so happy to see Ashley turn up, but instantly knew he'd meet pretty much the same fate as Cricket. Really enjoyed him though, as always.
I was a little surprised by the opening scene, and half expected Dr. Frank-n-furter to strut through the audience and up onto the stage.
I think he's just one of those people whose butt either drops or flattens as they get older. But he's also one of those men who's still very attractive as they age. I've always thought he's handsome and his looks are still holding up overall (it's just the butt thing). But you're right about those jeans, they're not…
Oddly appropriate.
Ooh, Harmony, yes!!
It made me think of a little joke from "Angel" (which oddly enough I was talking about elsewhere on this thread) about someone having their ennui magically removed and put in storage.
You must! And perfect timing, in more ways than one.
Just think, there are people out there that don't know the enjoyment and relief that those series could afford them. Watching (or rewatching) them should be a sort of prescription for the whole nation. Everyone just curl up with the cat (or dog or both), a cup of…
Someone's bound to.
Nice use of the word "ennui" .
You don't see that every day.
I didn't know, either… just something angular. But once I found out I was monumentally irked, being currently in need of a new mattress myself. What a waste.
And thank you for the laugh that comment gave me (even though it made me startle the cat awake).
I needed that after too much news consumption, and TWD.
I've been having mixed emotions about it so far. But I still love our core group of protagonists and will root for them (and sometimes have my heart break for them) 'till the bitter end.
Ouch. That really made me miss not only Buffy but Angel, Wesley and their group of evil-fighters from the spin-off. Maybe if I binge-watch Angel and immerse myself in that world I'll feel better…for a while.
Good old escapism, which this show isn't really providing.
My thoughts were pretty serious while watching, too. I was watching an immature bully take over Alexandria and our protagonists (or symbolically what's left of America), after several days of being glued to the tv watching an immature bully take over America.
No wonder the show felt so depressing tonight.
I just like that the conversation reinforced what we've always known about Rick but sometimes forget…Rick is a decent man, a good guy (still, after everything). That in itself is valuable during any apocalypse and in any post-apocalyptic world.
I was wondering what Spencer did to bulk up. I almost didn't recognize him. Am I the only one?
Not that I particularly care one whit, just idle speculation being as they showed so much of him during a fairly slow episode. Plus, I still like Rick, and was happy to see him put Spencer in his place with such conviction.
Oh, how I wish that flat-assed, bat-toting, smirking, sniggering, potty-mouth, puerile, shoulder-leaning-hip-dipping-for-emphasis, middle-aged but adolescent psychopath would suddenly develop a severe and long lasting case of laryngitis.
Not being able to talk people to death would probably incapacitate him…at least…
