It was a very brief scene in the woods, and very dark. She just looked like a dirty, scary woman who spoke in a guttural voice and gave Lee something…I'm not even sure if it was water or what, but she instantly had control of her.
Maybe we'll get another look at her next week.

That's a perfect description of Scathach! And I agree about their strategy with the Butcher. It's subtle, and "subtle" is NOT a word normally associated with this show.

After two days (and a night) of being glued to the tv and the news, watching wall-to-wall election coverage, commentaries, and now protests in the streets, I knew it was time for some entertainment tv. So I switched to this and it occurred to me that there was some weird irony to the fact I was going from fact to

After seeing and hearing the "real" Scathach, I think it's reeeally a good thing Matt had no memory of the uninhibited little night-time woodsy tryst he had with her. She was frightening, and made the Gaga version look like Marilyn Monroe.

We do! We also fawn, gloat, obsess, whine, dissect, commiserate, laugh and often make intelligent, insightful observations.
But you, my fellow Kentuckian, already know that as you're one of us.

And they've already got their own bats! The Baseball Furies…Kiss, had they taken a different road in life.
And now I'm hearing that pounding electronic score as they ran…and ran. I'm not complaining. It's a welcome change from "Easy Street". I might have to do a "Warriors" rewatch soon!

I've always thought he's a very attractive man, face and physique. But now I find myself worrying about him because his rear is so flat and as someone noted previously, he's not filling out those jeans properly. He's definitely lost weight recently. Hope he's okay.

Ow, it hurt to read it, too!
And I think you're exactly right.

I've often wondered if his hair could possibly get any dirtier.
Now I know.

Sounds like he's a fan of Caligula and the power games he played with the members of the Roman Senate (and their poor wives). What a wretch.

I don't think I've ever been so glad to hear Roy Orbison in my whole life!!!
Until it made Daryl cry. But then, he needed to have a good cry. It's cathartic.

Same here!
And I'll have you know, as I read your reply I "heard" every word of it in Lyle's voice, including the little French affectation. Must be the power of suggestion in your avatar, and your phrasing. Thanks for the smile.

Sorry you got side-tracked. I hope everything's okay. :)
I'm a little apprehensive about Bates Motel, too. I know I'll miss the real Norma. But I'm sure VF will do a great job with whatever they give her to do.
If you ever want to try (or binge-watch) something new (for you), consider Vikings. It's a much better show

You're right. I've especially noticed the set design this season. Some elements of the house are beautiful. I think the staircase is gorgeous!

Finn/Jether??!!!! Holy cow, I had no idea I was looking at Finn Wittrock! Of course, during scenes like that I'm not looking too closely at anything…a lot of blinking and eye-averting going on for fear of what I might see. But being as there was an extended conversation going on between Lee and Jether (a nice lull in

I'm definitely late to this particular party and was only going to briefly peruse the comments. It's 3AM and my eyelids were getting heavy so thought I'd just read a few more before turning in. Made the mistake of reading this comedic (and delightfully insightful) opus of yours…laughed out loud enough times that now

I agree. I had the exact same thought while watching that scene. That had to be deliberate.
And your mention of Coppola's Drac's "oceans of time" was delightful. I experience a little thrill every time I remember Oldman's voice when he said that line…emphasis on the way he said the word "oceans". Now I must go

I know! I'm already dreading whatever might happen. They'll probably use it as an opportunity to show an unusual and bloody battle between such a big, beautiful predator and walkers, CGI permitting. A tiger would put up a hell of a fight. But I'll be heartbroken if that's what we have to see.

Delightful idea!

I hadn't thought about the expense involved. You're probably right.
***heavy sigh***
