I'm just assuming you're referring to the comics, which I know nothing about. But I do know they don't strictly adhere to them, so I'll hold out hope that she lasts longer than that. I'll do the opposite of your username.

Screw your courage to the sticking point and go for it!
Having never read the comics, I wasn't sure what to expect from King Ezekiel or if I'd like him. Still wasn't sure what to think until that heart-to-heart with Carol. Even at the start of that conversation I was unsure. Yes, he opened up and was being "real"…yes, he was utterly charming. But that doesn't always mean…
I'm glad this was such an easy-going episode. And I must've been more traumatized by last week's debacle than I realized because throughout this ep there was a little sing-song voice in my head that kept alternating between "Look at all the pretty horsies" and "Nice kitty-kitty".
I agree. The contrast definitely makes an impact.
I noticed too that she looked very properly Elizabethan. Maybe in life she had emulated her Queen (as many women did), but you wouldn't think she'd been very concerned with fashion (and that ruff and hairdo) while trying to survive in a colony in the New World.
Wow. We saw the real Butcher only briefly, and without her saying a word I found her truly frightening. I hope we see her again and that she speaks next time because I would LOVE to hear what kind of accent they give HER. Especially in comparison to the accent Agnes/Ms. Bates has been having so much fun with.
Now…
And then there was the eye twitch I developed about thirty minutes in. Sheesh. This show's not good for one's health.
I have a headache.
Yes, an American comedic actor who was popular in movies and on game shows (especially Hollywood Squares, the reruns ran forever) in the 60's and 70s. He wasn't Southern like Leslie Jordan so he didn't have the same accent, but was similarly over-the-top and a complete hoot. Something about Cheyenne's impersonation…
I've never watched Big Brother.
It just seemed strange to me that they'd have a camera at shower-head level. I thought about them signing something, but then again Sidney made a point of saying he didn't want them to see all the cams or know where they were.
That one shot just seemed super creepy to me, especially if…
Whether it's a film, a tv series or a novel l like a story that's layered. But this story goes beyond layers and is becoming positively fragmented…and I'm enjoying it anyway.
I'm always thankful when they throw a laugh our way. Intentional or not, I don't think I could watch without it.
I guess I'm a 50 Shades Virgin. Haven't seen or read any of that particular franchise.
I thought I'd suffer Cricket withdrawal tonight, but Evan Peters stepped in and filled the void quite nicely, IMO. Our reviewer doesn't seem to like his performance, but I found it delightfully campy.
"Unhand me, you fools!" I loved it.
I was well and truly shocked (but delighted) to see Doris Kearns Goodwin opening the episode, and quoting Daphne du Maurier at that. I wasn't expecting such a jolt of class!
Was I watching the wrong show???
Was I hallucinating???
I remember watching "Freak Show" and thinking it was maybe a convoluted Maine accent (apologies to any Mainers out there). But that was really just a wild guess. I think perhaps Ms. Bates is having fun with whatever she's doing each season, and having fun with us.
I see deer sometimes, but don't spend much time in the woods. I'm in Kentucky and although I live in a city, I can drive five minutes past my house and be surrounded by woods, fields and hills. I love catching glimpses of them occasionally, they're so beautiful. And people have to be careful during certain times of…
It caught my attention immediately. I say I'm a history buff, but it goes much deeper than that. I've been fascinated since childhood by all aspects of the medieval world (especially throughout Britain), and really back through ancient history (especially Rome and its impact on all of Europe). You can't really study…
Is it "Angel" you're not familiar with? It was a spin-off series from "Buffy". In its final season the main storyline involved an ancient god (one of the Old Ones) being released from The Deeper Well, a hole in the world (and that was the title of the episode) where they had been stored for millenia. Its name was…
