Yes, "mic drop" is way too pop culture for Hannibal. It was also a little incongruous for Hannibal to open the passenger side door and say "Need a lift?" But I did get a kick out of it. He was almost giddy not only with his new-found freedom but because he was setting out on an adventure with Will.

I thought so, too…that being disappointing. But they're not Will's surrogate family. Molly, Walter, and even the dogs are his actual family. And they deserved a better outcome than this. I liked the finale, but that aspect of it is kind of crappy.

True, on both counts. Hannibal (or was it Will?) said Francis would need a private place to do what he wanted to do. So, he didn't expect to be shot through a window. And of course, Francis did indeed plan to do something even more horrific (and was going to film it for future enjoyment)…they just didn't expect him…
