She's so oblivious…. deliberately oblivious.

……right onto a reef, I'm afraid. And yes, Carlton Cuse said its the best shipper term he's ever heard.

It's usually later in an episode before my flesh starts to crawl, but in the first two minutes Norman staring at Norma's rear (as she bent to look out the window ) had me wanting to take my eyeballs out and wash them.

I know! I kept thinking "Don't dump Norman while standing at the edge of a pit…and with no one around…and knowing about his blackouts…" Didn't breathe there for a minute.

As opposed to regular clams….

Also, when Caleb threatened him, "Maybe that's a little dramatic, but sure…"

Thanks….I just read your comment and you made some excellent points with insightful examples. I'm glad there are others who feel the same. BTW…I remember SQ.

So sad. He died in 2002 while they were making season 4 of Angel (having left at the end of season 1) and at the end of an episode titled "Long Day's Journey" they put "In Loving Memory of Glenn Quinn" at the start of the closing credits. It was nice that they acknowledged him even though he'd been gone from the show

In that moment even his body language was that of a jilted melodramatic teen about to flounce off and fling her(or him)self across the bed….despite how poignant the rest of his speech was.

Exactly…in both cases centuries of accumulated knowledge gone poof! Ouch.

I love Alexis Denisof, too and agree the writers could've done better by him. The man is incredibly versatile, and we know from his previous work (especially Angel) just how much fun he can be.

And a shot of bourbon….from Art's desk drawer, I believe.

I'd love to join in but I won't be seeing new episodes as they air (no Sundance channel ). I'll watch seasons 1 and 2 this week, then have to wait for 3 to come out on dvd. So I'll be "behind the times "….but really wish I could participate. I'd like to see what you and others are saying about it as it continues.

I'm starting on it tonight (Sat.) and will be watching in HD. Your description of its visual beauty reinforces what someone else said, too. Look back a few comments to my response to another description and my reason for anticipating it. I will especially be on the lookout for the scenes you mentioned. Thanks.

Perfect examples of the vast divide between them and the reasons for it.

Well actually…true Christians don't hurt anyone, that's kind of the point of Christ's actual teachings (you know….compassion, peace, love, tolerance, acceptance, helping the sick and the poor). The people you're talking about just call themselves Christian without practicing what they preach. Every religion has that

Yeah, the pattern carved into the wood and overall design looked so authentic (and beautiful ). The show obviously has a really talented team of artists (set design, props, wardrobe, etc.) who do diligent research. Kudos to all of them.

I made a comment earlier about Fimmel's transition from model to talented (and entertaining!) actor. He's impressive.

I was beginning to think I'm the only one who finds him attractive. He's quite the dish. BTW, I'm assuming from your username you have an appreciation of the old "Thin Man" movies and series….my beloved dog of 16yrs was named Asta. Get well soon.

The level of propaganda an American teen in the 80's (or now) experienced is very different from what Elizabeth experienced growing up in 50 ' and 60's Russia and even within her family, where her own mother considered it necessary for her to devote her entire life to espionage. Sure we have propaganda…different
