Amen, yeah choice is the key. I respect a creator's and to a lesser extent a studio's right to re-edit, re-format, re-jig their property. BUT!
We the audience own our experience of a film, tv show or piece of music and I believe we have the right to choose the version we prefer.
Colorising the Addams Family? Seriously?
O

Wooses! The only thing you'd get from that trailer is a headache.
A grossly overrated film. Beautiful lit by Owen Roizman, with superb work from Dick Smith, but the back of a cereal packet has more theological weight and insight into the nature of evil than this pea soup light show.

Firstly, colorisation is a tool of the devil and you will endure eternal damnation for this.
On the other hand, cooool. A nice job. Of course, the caucasian flesh tones of Pat Priest are problematic, but the brief bit that I saw looks better then the sunburnt orange rubbish that Hal Roach/Legend produced. Down here in

Sia=Charisma? Huh?

Yeah, I hear ya. I'd argue that her Vulcan blood explains the lack of prostheses. My knowledge of exobiology is pretty limited. You'd think I'd be over it after almost 35 years, but it still saddens me that Saavik's story ends (for me) at the end of "Khaaaaannn!". No offense meant to Robin Curtis, but she is clearly

"Cuppa tea, Guv'nor?"

Think about how much time the poor bloody lighting/camera team is gunna have to spend trying to "cheat" the angles, so Mr Cruise doesn't look like a dwarf in relation to the aforementioned Mummy.
Unless it's a scaled down production? Mini-Mummy!

They're allowed to strike in the U.K.?
The cheek!
Although, would it be possible to strike a side deal for Wonder Woman and Star Wars and perhaps leave the unwanted Cruise and Chan projects in darkness?

It's part of the original script and features in the novelisation. Her backstory was re-used for Tasha Yar, five years later. You can see it in her performance. Whereas her replacement, Robin Curtis plays the role with a flat affect. No bemusement or slips in control from her Saavik.

Half Romulan.

I'm not so sure about it being unlikely to do harm. Mr Lyne, I salute you.

?!

Yeah, I hear what your saying. About ten years after "Fight The Future" and enough time after the series end that you would think Chris Carter would be re-energised with a fresh twist on the show's formula. I'm still surprised that such a pedestrian script got greenlit. The behind the scenes doco material on the BD

I wasn't impressed by the trailers, so i didn't bother seeing it theatrically. I didn't catch up with it until it came out as part of the BD double pack with "Fight The Future". I loved Scully's character arc. the strongest thing about the film. But the monster of the week scenario appears to be a serial killer,

Yep

Tired, out of touch with a miscast Billy Connolly. A fine dramatic actor in other projects, but just wrong for this one. The revelation that the villian is a gay Frankenstein like figure was jaw dropping.

Yeah, the use of the original culturally specific title is what struck me. If you are going to remake the show in the U.S. then the title needs to change. Unless they're doing a different spin on the format and making it a Aussie bogan vs middle class American relatives? Naah, that's unlikely. I guess it will get a

Ohhh K, I'm a getting a tad excited. I like that they cast a relative unknown in the role. I hope Jason Fuchs script is solid. I'm not expecting Nolan brothers quality, but a bit of layering and subtle wit would be nice. Compared to the moving pieces around the board writing, that passes for screenwriting in so many

A remake of Upper Middle Bogan? Geez U.S. free to air telly really has run out of ideas. So, Nancy Drew in name only. Three, five, eight, thirteen episodes?

Ah, if I could only write Ms Carpenter into my life as a love interest. Well Mr Wolf, you better make the most of the ratings spike.
