and I don't know how many of you are film noir nerds, but Ani Bezzerides is clearly a reference to A.I. Bezzerides. A great reference.

yeah, agreed. BUT they removed that entire part in the movie. And they changed the ending. That movie failed because it didn't follow the book but tried to make it something else.

well she did guest star under her married name.

I think it should be noted how poetic the dialog is. Characters always have something to say. And it's great when they talk around things without hitting the nail on the head.

and they did the "stitching the hand himself" scene EVERY action show does now.

also in the 80s, I spent the summer in Indiana and went to see The Alarm open for Bob Dylan. Spilled a drink on a girl and we ended up making out for most of the show. Dylan seemed to be playing too fast anyway. Never saw the girl again

back in the 80s, I saw The Bangles. I wanted to see the opening act, the Hoodoo Gurus. Their tape Mars Needs Guitars was and probably is one of my favorite albums. Of course the friends I was with were all about the Bangles. Apparently the Bangles liked them and tried to make them into a more pop-friendly group

I will say snorkeling in the Keys is a muddy, murky affair with nearly zero viability.

Top Gear, Downton. now just Doctor Who needs to die.

they did that on Outlander

it's about time she took it to the next level.

love how the story goes from zombies getting bashed in the head…. to a boring investigation into the owl statue… followed by zombie action… followed by more owl discussion.

"he looks like he's hurt his head and has gotten the wind knocked out of him. Wait, it's Harrison Ford. He's looked like that since Presumed Innocent."

I think she may have been the next companion if the original plan was in place…

thanks for reminding me. Line of Duty 2 and Happy Valley were great too.My top is: Hannibal, The Code, The Missing, The Fall, Happy Valley and Line of Duty.

not as good but still great…

that Robin Hood episode could knock any show down a few notches.

The Missing makes me feel better about getting older… and maybe taking up bee keeping. Seriously, it's an addictive show. They flawlessly jump around and color in the picture.

another: Australia's The Code.

I'll go with two: both Brit imports. Season 1 of The Missing and Season 2 of The Fall. The Missing is one amazing show with all kinds of time jumps and twists without falling off the rails.
