Into Darkness was the single worst movie ever made? Wowzers.

1. Takei doesn't own the character. He's not entitled to any of the details of said character - doubly so when it's an alternate universe version of it.

It's both a tribute to the original actor and a pretty cool notion to have a core crew member be gay and have it revealed as a simple detail — not a defining characteristic that has been trumped up.

An excellent point.

I would understand Takei's misgivings more so if Sulu had always been portrayed as a heterosexual character — in any respect in the original series and films.

You're "saying it", eh? Well, that's actually worse.

"To everyone really upset about us asking people to dress up at our shows… please relax. It's super not mandatory. It just makes for a more fun carnival when we are all in it together. So far these have been the best shows we have ever played.

How do you know they don't want to - or won't - be educated? Are you suggesting that a bigot or homophobe has never been swayed to adopt liberal beliefs before? Please.

Nope.

Well, it was a comic book aimed at children….

I expect that would be next to impossible with Harrison Ford being 73 years old. But I suppose they will either ignore the Nexus 6/Deckard bullsh*t (please, yes) or explain that Rick was a "special" Nexus model that was built to age (which is entirely silly)…

So with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Deckard, does this mean Rick wasn't a replicant? Or does it mean that replicants can age like humans?

I'll concede that many films suffer from bloat and could use a concise edit — but 90%? Nahhh…

Counterpoint: The Godfather is 177 mins. Take note, movie makers?

"Pretty bad movie"? This sounds like a pretty bad opinion.

Edwards revealed very little about the project until a few months ago where he came out and confirmed the tone was that of a war film. To be fair, very little was known about the film at all at the time. But beyond Edwards, Riz Ahmed had confirmed as much over 4 months ago. It also doesn't hurt that the DP for the

John Carter failed because executives inexplicably lost faith in the film and failed to market it as a result. The movie itself was fine.

As far as I knew, it has always been presented as a "war" film.

Opinion? Pfft. Fact, dude. It's a fact!

Holy sh*t, this song. Heard it many times but had no idea who it was. And now that I know… uhh… wow.
