As soon as I saw her on Ray Donovan I was taken aback at how ghastly sick she looked. She honestly looks like she's either a junkie or dealing with an eating disorder… or both. :-(

As a super fan of Carpenter's The Thing I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the prequel. Granted, it doesn't stray too far from its predecessor, doesn't quite stick the landing at the end, and I wish they had relied on practical effects more than CGI but I thought it at least transcended…

At 123 mins it's punishingly long? Yikes! I'll admit that it felt like there were 2-3 points at which I thought the movie was ending but the box of tissues next to me kept me from completely melting into a puddle of sentimental goo.
