Considering it's the highest grossing film of all-time your snark is clearly not in touch with reality.

I'm confused. When you say "not being super religious" what does that even mean?
Per Doherty's vocal contributions, "Follow You" and "You Caught the Light" don't really do it for me but I'm glad to suffer through those tracks (which actually aren't that bad) if it allows for "High Enough to Carry Me Over" and the absolutely stellar "Under the Tide". The latter of which was a highlight of last…
It's an exceptional album — his best since Kingdom of Welcome Addiction if you ask me.
And capital letters.
So are apostrophes and periods.
I literally just posted this in a reply up above somewhere. The "Just Can't Get Enough" homage (rip off?) is strong in this one. But I love it all the same.
I think "High Enough to Carry You Over" is pretty great though it took a few listens to really get into it — now it's one of my fave tracks on the album. "Playing Dead" is a pretty strong tack as is "Clearest Blue" (though I can't help but sing DM's "Just Can't Get Enough" when that big synth riff kicks in).
Woo! Great to see IAMX mentioned on here. Just criminally underrated.
How the hell did I miss Neon Indian's new album? Damn. I need to check this out ASAP.
Truth be told, you're not missing much.
Can we do 2010? Because Caribou's "Odessa" is fantastic.
Mint Julep does a serviceable cover but it just makes me want to listen to the far superior original.
I really look forward to this thread every year as members of the commentariat seem to always turn me on to at least a few fantastic tunes and bands I've never heard of before. It's amusing because I barely pay attention to the accompanying article and usually skip down to these parts post-haste.
Karin Park - Apocalypse Pop
I'll say it: Star Wars The Force Awakens tops my list. Just barely nudging Mad Max out of the top spot.
Good, good.
Ordered.
Honestly, Lucas was seriously ripped off, no?
I'll never quite understand the Avatar hate. It's inoffensive, introduced unbelievable 3D technology (that has yet to be equaled), and got people who normally wouldn't sit through science fiction or fantasy firmly planted in theater seats.
