Carbonite, man. You should have said frozen in carbonite.

Star Wars nerds, it's a Bond nerd… get him!!!!!
The EU novelizations did a pretty fantastic job of explaining why parsec made sense.
Ugh. Revenge of the Sith has to be the most overrated of the first 6 films. The notion that it isn't complete dogshit like the other two prequels somehow has elevated it to the lofty status of "kinda watchable" (which is, of course, a complete lie — it's terrible in its own ways).
Agreed. More importantly though: goddamn, what a great user name. Well done, sir!
Not sure if we need to state spoilers in this thread, or should we? (what's the protocol, people?) :-)
Sith was never mentioned by name in the original trilogy but it was a concept that predated even the EU novelizations.
They established enough new, strong characters that I would suggest the "fan service" was there to simply soften the blow — but I never found it heavy handed.
True, but Obi-Wan mentions the Clone Wars in A New Hope as well — so the reference is loose, at best.
Frankly, I think that says more about you than the film itself. There you have it.
While watching the film today I was actively waiting for any callback to the prequels - even super small references - and could not find any.
Boring? In a word, no.
That's a fair point on using the second one. Having said that, in spite of his trust in Kimmi he still felt compelled to play it — he smelled something might be up with Kelley's play, so good on him.
It's one thing to get a second chance - it's completely another when you get a second chance against seasoned veterans who are hardcore.
Jeremy's masterful play of idols at the right moments was impressive as hell.
I actually find myself becoming less sympathetic. I've always felt his response was unnecessarily harsh but even more so now that I've evolved (devolved?) into an old cynic. Sir Alec thought the entire saga was "rubbish" and was patently critical of it whenever it was brought up.
Blasphemy on all accounts!
Ahem. Not only is Die Hard the best action film of the 80s you could make a case of it being the best action film ever.
Both are great.
The French Flag profile pic seemed to me to be one of those "very least thing you can possibly do to support a cause" kind of things.
