Yep, I've also been getting the upvotes. Not to mention the fact it is not even 9am on the East Coast and the comments section here is already filled! I'm only expecting a modest ratings bump from the awards, but the award wins themselves probably already made a renewal more likely than not.

UPDATE: Looks like Rachel is going to do both, the rest of the cast are tweeting on West Coast time.

I'm afraid I won't feel as bad about a cancellation this year as I would have last year. Season 2's plot progression has slowed to a crawl — probably because of the way they've doubled the number of musical numbers to 4 per 20 minute episode. That's just ridiculous.

Tonight is Crazy Ex night. That is all.

Hey, you gotta tell the joke properly, PossibleMisnomer.

Not being a big Firefly fan, I had forgotten she was in that when I started watching The LA Complex… But she was so fantastic in The LA Complex that THAT is the role I'm always going to associate her with.

Rachel Bloom should win all the awards. That is all.

Unlike eggnog froyo, I did NOT find the writing in this episode super-tight. Some people have been complaining that Rebecca has not really been that crazy since the pilot, but I thought this was the second time that the show went way too far. It's one thing for Rebecca to make horrible decisions about her personal

Remember when Rebecca met Josh's mother at the supermarket? She reminded Mrs. Chan that, after summer camp, she "called a couple of times… left a couple of funny messages." So yeah, safe to assume that Rebecca's anguish continued after she returned home and that Mrs. Bunch also found out what was going on.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend tracks and albums are now up on Canadian iTunes!

Upvoting on the appropriate use of "I'll allow it."

You and I are now enemies.

Allison mentioned the name in the review — it's Ava Acres. And yep, in spite of not looking much like the actual younger Rachel Bloom, she's pretty awesome playing young Rebecca.

Guys! Just subscribe to Rachel's Youtube channel. She puts all of the songs on there, plus you can look at a lot of proto-CexGF videos. Even the cast announcements video for CexGF is a delight.

So, after arranging cross-promotion with Dr. Phil's show, did CExGF get a ratings bump? Apparently not — its rating/share were unchanged from a week earlier, 0.3/1, aiya.

Apparently the obstacles are primarily legal — Fox owns distribution rights for Ep. IV in perpetuity, the rest until May 2020! Until then, I'm going to enjoy Harmy's Despecialized restorations.

The mad wizard, AKA "Harmy", didn't just keep out all the bad additions. Because the only DVD release of the original theatrical versions is of terribly shitty quality, Harmy painstakingly restored the originals using the best quality sources he could (laserdiscs, broadcast HDTV captures, etc.), going so far as to do

We're four hours from the beach. People say two, but those people are dumb.

My sentiments as well, but if this episode gets a ratings bump maybe it was worth the cross-promotion. Also, having lived outside North America for the last decade and not having seen Dr. Phil in ages, I kept getting distracted by his face's obvious face-liftedness.

I did not figure that out at all, so I thought it was an hilarious reveal when he specified "my dead WHITE wife." Hilarious because it was so unnatural for him to add that information. According to Bloom, they added that bit of backstory offscreen (i.e. it wasn't in the script).
