Agreed on both counts.
Agreed on both counts.
"You Know My Name" is a GREAT Bond theme, and Casino Royale is the best Bond movie ever. Eventually history will come to agree with me on this.
We're blasting Superunknown at work today.
The game was so good I forgave them for the stupid story decision of putting Ripley's daughter in the exact same situation as her mom.
In space, no one can hear your OSHA complaints.
The game Alien: Isolation really makes you appreciate the design work in Alien. Most video games are based on Aliens (because shooting), but Isolation is firmly set in the world of the first movie. There's only one alien hunting you which makes for some seriously terrifying gameplay, and all the computer interfaces…
BEADS?!?
In a statement released earlier today, creator Mitch Hurwitz thanked Netflix for providing a platform to showcase an “erratically behaving family in the building business—and their desperate abuses of power,” which are “really underrepresented on TV these day.”
Bees?
It's not like the producers/writers of this show (or Breaking Bad) to introduce something without having it become important later somehow. Just because we already know what will eventually happen at that laundry doesn't mean it won't become important somehow to this show, other than just illustrating something about…
I also thought the scene with Gus checking out the space that would become the laundry/superlab and then meeting with Lydia in the car was felt a little forced, but then I remembered what show I was watching. If they're introducing Lydia and the laundry now, I'm confident they have a reason for doing so other than…
That one death scene in "Bone Tomahawk". If you've seen that movie, you know the one.
Does anyone else take some small comfort in how inept and stupid these people are? Not to diminish the real damage they're doing, but it would be so much worse if they actually knew stuff like how government works and what words mean and to not admit to obstructing justice twice in one day.
Because Trump is insane.
If Trump thinks he's good for ratings now, just wait until the indictments start. Then you'll see some good ratings. Huge, the best ratings.
The humanoid Engineers were one of the coolest design elements in Prometheus. They look like giant marble statues, with creepy black shark eyes.
Maybe it's just me, but a giant translucent egg with something moving inside it (that opens on its own when you get close) is every bit as scary as a hissing alien snake thing.
Fair enough, and even though I still enjoy Prometheus I'm not blind to its script problems. I like that it's a sci-fi/horror movie that asks big questions, delivers some seriously gnarly body horror, and even it's most ardent critics will agree that it looks stunning.
But it's a horror movie. Characters in horror movies don't say "This thing I'm about to do is dumb, so I won't do this thing" because that would be boring. And since all the characters in Prometheus are scientists, they explained the idiot factor by having the two biggest idiots get stoned.
That's not just a theory, it's something that's explained in the movie. When the dude reaches out to pet the weird alien dicksnake, he's stoned as fuck.
