Dog Day Afternoon
Being a hostage in a sweaty bank in Brooklyn is the only way to spend a summer day.
My newest nominee for "this guys amazing how did I just discover him"
Steve Gunn
Eyes on the Lines is his new one… Way out Weather is from last year also amazing. Hooky guitar driven songs that worm their way into your brain for weeks. Enjoy!

Now that the vitriol has died down… Favorite show attended? I'll go 3/29/90 with Branford at the Nassau Coliseum.
Ya-Hay, nice Midnight Run reference from Dr. Grodin.
One final call for Jim O'Rourke "Simple Songs", then delve into the rest of his amazing (though not easy to find) catalog.
Oh and Kamasi Washingtons "The Epic". Can't remember the last time I listened to new jazz but this is 3 hours of pure joy. Thanks Pitchfork for that one.
Still pounding the table for Jim O'Rourke's Simple Songs… Deerhunter, and firsties on Youth Lagoon, not seeing it mentioned anywhere
Thanks Matthew, Bridges was the Jeff I meant. But always happy to check out other Lauren Graham movies.
One of my favorite Danson roles is as the "I swear I'm not gay" gay guy in "The Amateurs". Jeff Daniels, Jon Hawkes, Joe Pantoliano and an always adorable Lauren Graham. Fun light-hearted movie with a happy ending.
Still not a single mention of Jim O'Rourke. Pitchfork loved his new one Simple Songs and it led me down the wonderful rabbit hole of Eureka, Insignificance, Halfway to a Threeway and finally The Visitor. All brilliant, sneering, angry jazzy hooky rock with influences from Steely Dan to Sea and Cake and Pink Floyd. …
Million Dollar Burger with the seared foie gras and havarti sounds like da bomb.
Sigh.. Frank & Estelle Costanza (including the nonsensical bickering, mah-jongg and redolence of kasha), with a younger brother thrown in for good measure.
1. Miller's Crossing
2. Fargo
3. Serious Man (Thanks AV Club for the amazing Richard Kind RR)
C'mon Real Men has its moments, RIP John Ritter
As I finished reading this, there were exactly 420 comments, Miley would approve!
Fletch.. too many to name but the entire Alan Stanwyk/Ted Nugent meeting from under the boardwalk back to the house…
"Does this entail me dressing up as Little Bo-Peep?"
"Hopalong Cassidy killed himself.. bow and arrow.. very weird"
"Love what you've done with the garage, must have cost you hundreds"
"Do you own rubber…
Dennis Reynolds: An Erotic Life, especially the Dee/Charlie "walk a mile in my shoes" storyline always gets the newcomers in my house…

Watched the first one from Levi's, thought Trey killed it, first half of the second set was my highlight. Plan on seeing the other four at some point, is there a consensus best of the five?
