Stannis' army was also made up largely of sell swords who would be hedging their bets all the way along. These are houses in the North that wish to remain houses in the North. Also, I can't speak to the book… but watch season 3 again… Robb Stark fully created this whole uneasiness by making selfish and foolish

also we saw wildfire blowing through a tunnel in Bran's vision. Presumably that never happened in the past… teehee.

It would have to be Loras… he is the Heir so regardless of how little we've seen of him and his relationships with his family etc… That has to spark the ire of the whole Tyrell army, init?

I've heard the same goes for Olenna… so maybe it gets better there?

    a 10.. a hottie… a real looker

In Ramsay Speak: "Sick game" and "Battle plan" are fairly interchangeable…

Jon is not indebted to littlefinger… Sansa is… Jon is indebted to her. IMO

you have a point… but I read the Stannis downfall as being much more about selling ones soul and the price attached than Ramsay being Brilliant… It was a steady decline into the Abyss for the red woman's prince of choice.. helped along by Ramsay… but the downfall was well underway before Ramsay hit his camp with 20

well, except feeding the dogs regularly…

the retaking of winterfell is more a minor off screen plot development… we could easily be informed of such things by the banners on the map during the intro next week… is all he means. ;-P

IKR… Plus arrows were missing to the left and to the right… which way would you "Zig"

But isn't that the point… it's a story and it has arcs… and when bad S*** is happening the story doesn't suck… it's a sad part of the overall narrative. Since the beginning the show has been cultivating many strong female characters… but Sansa was raped by her husband so.. you know… the show hates women. Last season

she has to tell Robyn what Baelish did… then it's ByeBye Petyr.

I think you make a good point about the futility of war… and I think they are making that point visually when Jon Snow is literally being buried by the pile up of bodies… much like souls are lost in the moments as the overall body count grows and people cross lines and do terrible things burying their moral compasses.

Idiots might be harsh… but it was the same old same old from a story standpoint… standard TV writing coupled with stand out Direction.

Not in most places I don't think… though the North seems more apt to go with such rules

I expect that… I was kinda hoping that we'd see Yara help take the ships over during the siege.

Meereen was fun.. perhaps a little clunky with time-lining… but the best acting and dialogue for sure… You left out Greyworms double throat slash.

Right… Men get the death treatment far more frequently. That's true. kinda makes my point.

IKR? But then at the same time… how much more times can dany's story rehash the same beats waiting for him.
