When Mike gave his "we are the future" speech he was woefully off. Everybody he sees is the past… his level and function are the past. This also speaks to why he was completely expendable to KC… We see a sauve ganster… they see a dying breed of functionary employee. But yes… it was the most absurd part of all of this.

Good points…I also like how Mike's "promotion" contrasts with his "we are the future" speech. HE in fact is a remnant of the past working for an organization that is the future… he (as we know him) is doomed. because the future can no more become the past than the past can become the future.

I'd flip 1 and 2 and then slide Better Call Saul between them…

I guess happy is relative… The Butcher who never meant anyone any harm froze to death and his wife will be in prison forever. The "Bad Guy" (Hanzee) got away and will seek retribution… Betsy who survived (happy) can't take the potential cure because that in and of itself will kill her faster than the cancer… there's

He was also going to kill his brother on site IMO. However, he did say…. "None of us are family any more"… I think the only member he really cared about (besides his Ma, who he did betray by killing Simone but I don't think he hated her) was his son… and we didn't get that closure… I was glad they showed her just for

If I'm nit picking she gets the job when Gus quits… However it's also worth mentioning that the Original Chief had selected HER… so while the point is made that "society" sees the man as more capable… the boss in the situation was not swayed by such non-sense and would have passed over Gus to promote Molly… but that's

It was the same building where Mike was placed, yes? So at present it seems KC runs Fargo from that building. But Tripoli takes over at some point? I can buy Hanzee as Malvo… but he's seems to be aligned with the guy who will later run Fargo… if that was indeed him on the bench… I don't know…

The guy with the New ID for hanzee certainly looked the part (Tripoli). Also, he didn't sound like he was from KC. Maybe Tripoli is the "family name"… I'm certain the deaf kid is the assassin…

Will the student athletes be compensated… or how does it work. It's sure to be interesting… I hope it's not just another way to generate big revenues off student athletes.

This would seem to be ideal… S2 was better than 1 but I can't imagine it going much longer than 3 anyway, so At least we can expect some kind of wrap up.

It's relentlessly sad init? But I found the Murphy family and Jarden to be more compelling than anything in season 1. And ya, King has been excellent.

Danson and Dunst have been the stand outs for me… Offerman as well… but his character is much less integral to the story.

I liked the shining thing too.

    Agreed…

    what show?

I would have loved to hear Charlie's take on "stuff".

Can't lie… I miss Charlie… I think he would have been fantastic here.

    Andy… take off the Blazer.

    she's not playing herself… it's a character.

You have to remember Mike is only in his position because the old guy (now dead) liked and vouched for him… said he was "smart… not like the other darkies"… so there's clearly an element of racism in the KC outfit (and America… it's the 70's) that was being "overlooked" until Mike didn't succeed and his "sponsor" was
