NBC's marketing strategy:

The consensus is, a little too old. It should be someone at the academy, so probably someone in their 20s. I was thinking if they crossed races, maybe Zoe Saldana, but I didn't realize that she is also mid-thirties.

Actually, if you want the real truth, the president of programming (in charge of scheduling), Jeff Bader, wanted the show cancelled from just about the first episode. He is the reason the show moved to Friday in season 2, and then to the summer on Thursday, where 7 out of the 10 summer scripted television programs

Well, even if this show is gone, hopefully it will leave an indelible mark upon television. Just this past season on Homeland, when Carrie was tripping out and wandering the streets, I couldn't help think how Hannibal-esque the scene was. Like all great things that the public just lets pass by, semi-intelligent

I don't think this show is going to die out over time. I think it will slowly find its fanbase. However, I've just started watching Deadwood on Prime, so give me a couple weeks, and I might understand better how you're feeling.

Something about this smells fishy to me. I'm getting the feeling that Amazon made Fuller an offer he had to refuse. That way, it's harder for people to blame them for ending the last big chance this show had of surviving.

This show would have been a hit, had it been properly promoted. It is not that different a type of show than Game of Thrones. Yikes! My mind just flashed visions of what would have happened to Game of Thrones, had it aired on NBC. I think I need a palate-cleanser for my brain now, ie., alcohol.

I have this bizarre theory that Jennifer Salke, Entertainment President at NBC, thought this was a great show.

No-Pants Island and Fart Date

I thought they should have hired Claire Danes to play Molly.

+1 for Brooke Smith as Senator Martin.

When I miss your lips, I'll put a fig in my mouth…

Yes, they had sex right before they ate snails together.

What about the time she was drugged up at the defense contractor's conference?

I'm assuming he didn't mean he wanted to impregnate her personally, but you never know with him.

That sex scene reminded me of one of those kaleidoscopic music performances from television in the 60's. Unfortunately, the only example I can think of is "Listen to the flower people".

I thought the menage a cinq from Naka Choko was one of the best all time scenes of this show. It too was directed by Natali.

I withdraw my disdain for Netflix. From what I've heard, they are as much a victim of Amazon as we are.

Unfortunately, you are mostly correct - this show was definitely quality cable material, and the networks are just unqualified to handle it. However, complaints go directly to Jeff Bader, Program Planning at NBC. He was trying to kill this show since season one. He is the reason it was sent to die on Friday night on

Does anybody need a hug?
