    You sound smart though.

Whereas I can't get enough of smug, smirking know-it-alls who tackle such BRAVE subjects as supporting transgender or ripping FIFA. Such radical stances.

Exactly, and just by being decent and not ridiculous its turned out to be the best of HBO's new shows.

Very hard time caring about any of it. Vince Vaughn is a poor man's Michael Madson. The CHP cop is just brutal, both the performance and storyline.

They do sometimes give that impression. Either that or total indoctrination.

Whereas Butter Battle Pacifist can talk all the **** she wants because she's one of the social justice good guys. You can be as much of an ******* as you want as long as you're defending women, gay, or any other group currently designated for special treatment.

Mansplaining is a great word and I pay special attention to anyone who uses it unironically.

    We're having fun!

    Get angry about it.

    "almost nothing to do with"

Yeah, I was in my 20s before seeing my first confederate statue when down in Texas, I thought it was some kind of odd joke or relic.
After seeing how it works though, its a strange cultural rationalization about the Civil War and its psychologically very important (and not too difficult) for them to maintain it was

I'm sorry, but some of this is nonsense. Qatar uses migrant labor whether or not FIFA is in town - you may have noticed the building boom there predates their World Cup bid by years, overall construction there dwarfs the few stadia being built and the migrants doing the World Cup work are a drop in the bucket.

I hear you, fair enough, but I'm trying to respond to 10 people here, can't expect the conversation to flow perfectly.

Right, and 95% of the action has almost nothing to do with FIFA. People watch the domestic leagues, the Champions League, even the regional tournaments put on by continental associations.
I don't know if people just don't watch, or what, but FIFA has nothing to do with the Premier League, La Liga, any other league

WTF? I actually directly said "I know everyone likes him". Exact opposite. Effing weird responses here, maybe I didn't express myself well enough.

    Haha, you seem happy though.

You guys really don't like him being criticized, eh?
    Nevermind then.

Quote, from above: "Yeah, watched it until just a few episodes ago."
    What is your problem?

I'm a huge soccer fan, that's not the issue. FIFA just has almost no bearing on anything - they host the wildly-lucrative World Cup and some minor tourneys. Coverage far outstrips their influence…….I'm not trying to tell people what to care about or not, don't take it that way, but don't let Oliver convince you FIFA

I'd rather not, but like I said, once I noticed it I couldn't shake it. Thanks for the pleasant comment.
