Okay, yeah, it's popular to rag on Clapton's solo career. But in his Cream/Blind Faith/Derek & the Dominos period, I'm not sure anyone was ever better, including Hendrix. And I love Hendrix.

This guy calling anything "arrogant" is pretty funny.

People with good-to-excellent taste.

I don't disagree with your main point, but why would you consider a film about WWII a joy or really be able to sympathize with its characters?

Yeah, I admit it could have it way worse!

You have a kid and you haven't had enough of Frozen yet? I've seen Monsters Inc roughly 700 times since my son got it for Christmas.

Totally with you. Those eps started to feel a little forced. I enjoyed all these 14 for different reasons. It was a nice mix.

"Gimme that pill!"
I'm going to carry this reference into my life. No one's going to understand it, but I don't care. I love it so.

Love & Mercy.

Off topic: It's easy to knock The Cobbler, but the rest of McCarthy's directing work is awesome. Win Win, The Station Agent, The Visitor. All examples of oustanding, low-key, sincere filmmaking. I assume most here are familiar with his other work but I always like to point it out in case others aren't aware of his

I share your sentiments. I always enjoyed PJ, but from like 2002-2006 I was obsessed. Saw them in State College in 2003, still one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I don't know if I'm mellowing out and they are a little too intense for me, but I just don't connect with them like I used to. But I'll always

I totally agree. No Code was the first PJ album that was released when I was getting into music when I was young, and Who You Are was so different and totally grabbed my attention. Still one of my favorites. And Yield is incredible. Practically no filler on that one.

Why would we need to be saved from The Phantom Menace? Because the prequels don't deserve our hatred. Right AV Club?? RIGHT?!?!???????

Can't even count the times I couldn't enjoy their (timeless/innovative/incredible) music because I was too caught up in the context of their mythology. Woe is me.

As long as his list of greats is really fucking long, then sure. Otherwise I think the rest may have a quibble.

"I can't wait six more months to be somebody."

Physical attraction is incredibly important in a relationship. But that's different from my point, which I stand by. You don't have to be a looker to deserve a good relationship.

Oh, btw, deserving a decent girl has nothing to do with looks. Love yourself brother. And work hard.

I initially scoffed at the fitbit/10,000 steps a day crowd, but then my wife actually got me a fitbit last year, and it's the biggest help I've ever had at losing weight/maintaining weight. I hate running with a passion. But If you don't want to run, you don't have to. Just start with walking. I am so much more

You know what I thought was the scariest part of that movie? Laugh if you will, but it was when they turned on the TV and it was just the test pattern. If that doesn't say "we're fucked", I don't know what does. Although the birthday party scene freaked me out too.
