When's the last time Jason Bateman was in a good movie?

I don't know if it meets whatever criteria this list is based on, but the first episode of Catastrophe is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

Musically, Morello has evolved from writing a lot of catchy riffs and making his solos sound like a computer to… well, I guess he hasn't evolved. I'm not a fan of his, is what I'm trying to say.

I think I started this at like age 19.

I saw this movie at TIFF in September. Not sure why the reviewer chose to compare Wiig's nude scene to the Ferrell scene. Wiig's scene happens when her character has totally lost it mentally/emotionally. It was a really disturbing scene. Saying that the scene "isn't vaguely as uproarious" is just weirdly

Yeah, listening to it afterwards was not a good idea. Eventually I stopped listening and just never went back.

The entire Ryan Adams catalog.

You're wrong.

I have weirdly strong feelings about this. I think I heard the original, "Until then we’ll have to muddle through somehow" version first when growing up. Now when I hear the "hang a shining star" line, it seems roughly 1,000 times worse. I like the sentiment of the original line, depressing or not. The replacement

This sucks. What is wrong with the world today?

That really is the worst. I was in my first job for six years. I wanted to leave after two, but couldn't find a new that I felt would be an upgrade. I finally found one, and I was still nervous to leave. But I did leave, and it was definitely the right choice. All the searching made me realize my crappy job

Sounds like a pretty normal frat to me.

Also, I was initially upset with Molly not being more involved, but the more I think about it, the better it sits with me. All series, she's been ignoring advice not to press on, which has worked out in her benefit. But this time, after separate pleas from both Lou and Gus, she seems to realize that now is the time

I didn't love it all that much when it was going on, but I would've liked it less had he somehow weasled out of everything in this episode. There were hints dropped that he was more than human, but now that we see that he wasn't, it seems alright to me.

I don't read it as Gus saving the day or making up for his cowardice. I don't think he really wanted to shoot him, but he is at least smart enough to know he had to. It didn't really play as a heroic moment for him, which is what ultimately makes it okay for me.

Yes, and it is rarely more than 3 or 4 minutes.

Plus something is always happening in soccer, there's always something developing. Have you every really watched how much time in a football game is just everyone standing around between plays? I suppose this happens less now with hurry-up offenses, but take an average game, and just look at the percentage of that 4

Well said. I am a baseball fan, and it is annoying how often I feel like I have to defend baseball, especially to football fans. It makes me start to feel angry towards football, which I don't want, because I also like that sport. I wasn't aware I had to choose. I too am tired of the pissing match.

As a sports fan, maybe the best part about soccer is knowing exactly how long the match is going to take, and that it's relatively quick compared to other sports. I love that.

The World Cup statement is among the dumber things I've read here. I'm not a big soccer guy, but I'm a big sports fan, and this being one of the world's largest and best sporting events, yes, I'm definitely invested. I can imagine more than a few other Americans feel the same.
