I too prefer "Naked".  I think it transforms The Long and Winding Road from a giant load of shit to what is, dare I say, a warm and endearing tune.  For that alone it should be given a ton of credit.

Marriage.

1-6. Sgt. Pepper

@avclub-61938d93498e7f0ed5e6527b1cee656a:disqus And where is the list of classic tunes written by
Robertson post-1978?  I think you've totally missed Levon's point, which is not that he was a great songwriter or that he was the one who wrote all the songs.  It's that the songwriting was a collaborative effort in this

@avclub-52ed1f89cb6f846e8efba0e4eacf9c27:disqus You have a poor memory.

"For anyone unfamiliar with The Band, The Last Waltz manages to be both a biography and a perfect portrait of the group at its peak. "

People seem to rag on Affleck's portrayal for being too boring, but I say whatev to that.  They brought the real Tony Mendez out on stage on one of the award shows.  He had the personality of a tree stump.  Affleck's portrayal looks like Rip Taylor in comparison to the real guy.

Okay, someone defend "Life's Been Good".  When I hear "My Maserati does 185", I start going into convulsions.

"Henley often had to sing while drumming, so I guess we should cut him some slack."

I feel like Forrest Gump is one of the most divisive movies I've run across.  Some of my friends defend it to the death, some say it is totally ridiculous.  I think it has its moments.  I sort of like and hate it's jog through 60s/70s American culture, because I love that period of history, but it hits like every

Hank: Bobby, I've got good news, but I want you to promise you're not gonna squeal like a girl.  I've decided to let you grow your roses.
Bobby: *LOUD SQUEAL*
Hank: Uggh

I would go "Journey Through The Past", the Massey Hall version.

Shine A Light is mine as well.

You have to leave immediately.  Your opinion is too level-headed and reasoned to be allowed on the internet.

I always wanted Jim and Pam's wedding to end it.  I really enjoyed it at the time, and I still do.  And I remember very few memorable moments in the show's run that came after it, Michael's departure excepted.

This episode makes me cringe even more over how Kevin is portrayed now.  In CN, he is a real person, who can have a conversation, and he is obviously intelligent (he has a WSOP bracelet!).  Now he can barely put a coherent thought together.

Yeah, I saw them on Tuesday in Pittsburgh.  The singer held a baby doll for half the set.  It was really bizarre.  And the majority of the set was really more noise and sounds than music.

Joe D. Foster = mother of whoever wrote this godawful episode.
