A show like that couldn't happen because the people fighting back would just be fired for some trumped-up reason or another.

Was there some significance to the woman who helped Tessa get her mother's attention in the train station? It seemed like they were taking great pains to single her out. Maybe it was a cameo by the creator, or a particular fan?

I'm kind of hoping Dallas dies unexpectedly (I'm sorry, but her character has become more pointless with every episode - the only good scenes with Dallas are the relationship between her and Tessa, and that's going to be shot now that Dallas has broken George's heart) and George takes Dalia in while Tessa continues to

It might have helped CNN to advertise the premiere of this show on some other networks. I had no idea it was starting already.

The show was on the edge of becoming irreversibly terrible with the third season though, and then miraculously became good again during the fourth season. For them to throw away everything that made the fourth season worthwhile with an offscreen hard reset does not bode well for the new showrunner.

I have to give the writers credit for not taking Sheila's character where I thought it was going. I was sure she was about to commit suicide and instead she ends up selling sex toys.

It's going to be really shocking when we find out peanut butter, whole milk and Anne Hathaway are all members of the cult.

I agree about the "Retard Nation" stuff. The scene in the meeting was pretty funny and didn't seem like that crazy of an idea. But the idea that Sheila in even her most well-meaning phase would think it was a good idea to set up a table and hand out pamphlets on the street was unbelievable even within the world of

The kid playing AXL (and the fact that his character's name is AXL) is one of the reasons I can't get into The Middle either. I honestly tried - I recorded three episodes last season and watched them at various times and was just never wowed. I maybe laughed once per episode, and I have a tendency to laugh at even the

I personally see this as an argument for why the industry needs to change its distribution model.

@avclub-7928cdc9a5040872be11e87e9bef1d67:disqus I knew that outfit looked familiar and I could not place it for the life of me! Thank you!

I like the shot of Gwyneth seemingly getting blown up. Hopefully that means we'll get some Rescue screen time.

I felt like the score was a little heavy-handed at times but overall a great episode. Loved the "heist" music they played during the coat check scene.

I believe you're right, I must have gotten those switched around in my head.

Regarding the TV special, I read in one of his rare interviews that he didn't want a particular voice to be associated with the characters and also felt that a TV special would force them to address whether Hobbes was just all in Calvin's imagination or if it was something more magical.

I think it was "Wipe your butt with a strawberry crepe."

In every picture I've ever seen of Matt Bomer he appears to be smirking. Are you sure that was lesbian kiss smirk and not just regular smirk?
