Disney to possess all the world's money by the end of 2019
Surely Mark Strong turns out to be a bad guy in this one? The last few years he seems to have stopped playing villains, which doesn't feel right at all.
I think there's been a lot of sifting over the last few months, it just doesn't seem to be going anywhere aside from around in circles.
Hillary's campaign made mistakes, a lot of white voters are idiots, James Comey needs to be tarred and feathered, and the electoral college system is stupid as hell. Can we move on now and prepare for 2018? Of course not, time to pre-emptively argue about Chelsea Clinton instead.
Enjoyable film. During the credits I learned that the old couple who appear fleetingly in the final scene are the real Olli and Raija, which was quite touching.
As for the sequels which never happened, the Zion Rave scene is the worst film scene ever (although like I say, it never happened as there were no sequels).
1999 was an interesting year, with The Matrix, The Blair Witch Project and The Sixth Sense coming out of nowhere seemingly to storm the box office (The Sixth Sense was the second biggest film of the year wasn't it, I think the only comparable 'what the hell' similar example since is American Sniper, and The Sixth…
I think B- is about right, it's pretty entertaining but not amazing.
Which is certainly better than the 'I have an Oscar now, but unfortunately the rest of my career is going to be pretty much dreck/non-existent' scenario (e.g. Mira Sorvino, Cuba Gooding Jr, Hilary Swank after her second Oscar)
I think this is a bit dismissive of the film, which I enjoyed a lot (that theory about what Gremlins is really about had me laughing my head off). But good to hear this series is recommended! Plus it's annoying all the people that deserve to be annoyed.
I'm just amazed that six years in people are watching Girls and still getting mad because it's not realistic.
He won Best Actor rather than Director, but his win was probably the shortest length of time it took the Academy to regret a decision in their history
This is probably last-chance saloon already for Hazanvicius - has an Oscar-winning director ever seen their stock fall so quickly? Michael Cimino is the only other one that springs to mind. Mind you, if I was married to Berenice Bejo I probably wouldn't be too fussed about how my career was going.
And Malick (post-1970s Malick anyway)
Damn, part of me was hoping for a film about the trials of being a Detroit Lions fan. Those poor gits deserve a film.
Haven't been too interested in the Thor films so far (getting from Charing Cross to Greenwich by Tube? Ha!), but if this has even a little of the charm that Hunt for the Wilderpeople had, I might be tempted to give it a try.
It was always primarily a comedy (that happened to become a phenomenon), but tell that to Sony who were overeager for some of that sweet MCU-type box office action!
I wish the third act of Captain Fantastic had been a stereotypical film court case. Would have been much better than what we got.
Yeah, but it was like Juno in that some people raved about it and some hated it with the heat of a thousand suns.
