I loved Dogtooth and The Lobster (not often we get a great English-language film from a world cinema director that isn't Ang Lee), though I hope an animal doesn't die horribly in this one too!

Serious things are happening in the world? Damn, I'd better stop giving any opinions on pop culture forever now.

Great cast but not sure that it's a good idea to let Aaron Sorkin write AND direct

I have to admit, I would not have had Daniel Craig on my list of 'actors who can be funny'. Mind you, I would have said the same for Channing Tatum prior to 21 Jump Street. It's always good when an actor/actress surprises you.

Personal theory: he voted Trump and she voted for Hillary and their marriage couldn't survive that.

Hillary Swank's career aside from her TWO Oscar wins has been nothing but garbage. It's almost impressive in a way.

Neither is well served by their more commercial work it's true (The Bourne Legacy, Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, Godzilla etc), but I'm not sure it's 'the masses' who are slagging off people like Jeremy Renner on The AV Club and Twitter etc

Hey look it's two really good actors.

Everything Everything (nothing to do with that crappy recent film) have their new album on the 18th too. The first half of August is pretty dead and then it goes nuts for the last two weeks.

Despite the panning this is getting everywhere (even Pitchfork have turned on them!), I still want to give this a try, though my expectation levels are pretty low now!

I'm shocked by this poor review, shocked!

I like Jennifer Lawrence a lot in SLP, but I would have gone for Chastain (and Emmanuelle Riva was amazing in Amour that year too)

Looking forward to this, loved The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty (Chastain was robbed at the Oscars!)

Almost four years since Blue is the Warmest Colour and I'm still waiting for Adele Exarchopoulos to be in another film worth seeing - damn!

I know people lost their shit over Ken Loach's segment because he dared to point out September 11th was also the date the US helped install a brutal military dictatorship in Chile.

Al Gore should team up with Hillary Clinton for a documentary on why the electoral college is really stupid and outdated.

Dunkirk - fantastic film, doesn't let up for a moment.

Touche

Almost as if Twitter going nuts over some 'they can't find any suitable non-white actors!' rumours was a stupid idea.
