Different strokes for different folks is a truism…but there is also universal beauty (I know it's arguable). I try not to be crude or overly-critical of artists because they're in the public eye AND I'm a big fan of showing diversity in body types, faces, etc. But I get really tired of average folks just sucking up

Season after season, I continue to hate-watch this show!! It is populated by the single homeliest cast of people I've ever seen assembled and each acts more horrendously than the next! I'm all for showing real, average-looking people but Shoshanna's face, head and vocal tics? Adam's face, vocal tics, Aspergers?

Funny how many learned, educated White historians have been wrong but are still considered sages but an old Black lady… Remember old wives' tales have a basis in truth. Even if it was only the truth of that time. Ask a North Carolinian if they should let doctors near their genitals if he/she had been considered a

Agreed that even without the 'stache Sam Elliott is quietly way more sinisterly dangerous than Steenburgen is manipulatively dangerous. He only proposed to draw her closer to him and get evidence she snitched on her hubby. He's planning to kill her just after allowing her to think she has maneuvered his back against

"It were in the glass…" bone-chillingly, pragmatically fitting words to hear before one chokes to death!

Most times opinions are like stinky ass*holes and other times people assign character flaws to someone they just don't like. Michaela SEEMED weak by crying after witnessing a murder(!) which caused Laurel to wisely gain leverage by withholding her ring. But, the personification of weak, annoying and expEndable (see

#2 Michaela was keeping up appearances (like her hair, outfit, accent) in the hopes that maybe she was wrong about Aiden's bi-sexuality and maybe they could get back together and make the dream. When his super-hostile and protective mother showed up suddenly wanting them to be together…it was proof that Aiden had not

Michaela is Aiden's Mom's best option for keeping up the APPEARANCE that her son is straight: social standing and political ambition-wise. But a mother always knows…even if she never admits it!

Nah, any Black girl who pulls herself up from a lower-class upbringing in bumf*ck Georgia, completes undergrad and acceptance to law school AND changes herself enough to snag the scion of an upper-class family is the definition of NOT WEAK. Flawed maybe but with a spine and will of steel, baby!
Now contrast her with a

Why speak in such absolutes: Madonna v Whore? A gold digger usually invests in fake boobs and hair extensions, not good grades and law degrees. It's more accurate to say Michaela set her sights on a man with all the prerequisites to them BOTH living an upper middle class life to which she would contribute as well.

Ooooooh, oooooo, would that be good!!! Justified's ending soon so he is free…and Swearingen might be persuaded to come back to tv!

I get that these missteps put a hair across your butt but…don't we all have to suspend disbelief for the sake of expediency to watch anything on tv, they've only got an hour. You wouldn't get a new client and go to trial in the same day either. You can't be in law school and have this much time to devote to only one

The littlest twin girl is absolutely perfect! From her cute little hairstyles to her no-nonsense practicality, she reminds me of so many little Black girls I used to teach!

The Wire, the glorious Wire!!!!

Seriously, I mean WTF is this Oliver a member of Boko Haram or ISIS or something? It read like a deeply-held belief that a wife's first job is to please her husband so he doesn't have an affair but would a reincarnated - do they get HBO via satellite?!

Aaannnnddd…wait for the Friday 3:00 pm call from HR, person who is so much hipper, smarter and more ironic than everyone else IN EVERY OTHER WORKPLACE ON THE PLANET!

The secret mortgages on the house is easily explained by one of the components of the 2008-2009 debacle: take second mortgages to QUIETLY pay small everyday costs like those weekly big family dinners, the vet bills for the animals, minor and major repairs get downplayed. The family won't know until the repayment

And find more opportunities to get hunky Jamie naked and showcase the absolutely-known sexual prowess of the studly bearded Uncle!

You're right about the 'not well thought-out structurally' note. If the Rashomon-ity had been portrayed with each character telling essentially the same story but casting themselves as hero, we would buy it better. Or if one told the other some big plot point but the other remembered thinking of it himself, maybe.
