Marvel movies do adapt stories, as well as characters. They don't follow storylines perfectly, either, but each of the Marvel movies has followed a storyline from the comics. The biggest differences in some of these is the fact that they either don't need or want to add some additional characters, and they legally…
In the comics, Jesse is nearly unmatched in hand-hand combat, which is a bit overpowered.
Samuel L. Jackson was the inspiration of the Nick Fury for the Ultimates, so yeah, he does look like him.
His character grew quite a bit by the last couple of seasons, for me he went from being an annoyance to the best character on the show.
I read that scene as her reacting with revulsion at Eugene daring to think he meets her standards. They pretty explicitly show her as being incredibly shallow, and having a high level of her self esteem tied to the social level of her significant other.
Her look at Jimmy was somewhere between "thank you for doing this" and "you're scum".
And making sure his brother never sees prosperity.
I'm not arguing, I'm just giving the reasoning that the show and writers have made for the seemingly minor level of belief that the gods need to continue to exist.
He drank mead, too. For anyone who is a descendant of Scandinavia, there were enough hints dropped about Odin to at least get you on the track.
Do you all mean frigid, or fridged?
Or watched Thor movies, or comic books.
Right, and Shadow was far from being ready to understand that actual gods do exist. I'm sure Odin missiles completely went over Shadow's head.
They did have Laverne & Shirley….
Plus 'Wednesday' traces back to "Woden's Day" and Woden traces back to Odin. Wednesday is Odin's Day (Thursday is Thor's Day, etc…).
In the show they explicitly state that some of the old gods are so starved for believers that they cling onto even the slightest sign of belief or worship.
Jimmy/Saul is just that silly, though. His over-the-top commercials are low-budget and weird, but they are effective. He knows how to get people's attention, and he knows how to manipulate and motivate people to get them to do what he wants.
And Howard has time, certainly more time than the plaintiffs, so he's comfortable waiting it out for a bigger payoff even though that's not necessarily in the best interest of the clients since they are elderly.
Or asleep with your eyes closed.
I was watching Kim drive, knowing she's going to do a 2 hour drive on zero rest for days… I knew what was coming and I was still surprised how they did it on screen.
