I have Season 1-7 but don't plan to buy 8 - too painful.

I have never seen any of the other shows you mentioned, so I am not jaded by a comparison. The reason I hate this season so much is that I have enjoyed Dexter in the past. I looked forward to ending my weekend with Miami Metro and crew. I own all the DVDs and ordered Showtime just to watch Dexter (not after next

Did anyone else have a sense of deja vu with this episode? 1.
Saxon sneaking in to Dexter’s bedroom – Season One – Brian/Rudy sneaking into the
same room to kill Deb (actually a mannequin made to look like Deb) 2. Deb getting
shot in the exact same part of her body as she was by Trinity’s daughter. 3.
Vogel getting her

Damn, that was me. I am so thrilled to be remembered!

I was thinking the same thing. How about Miami???

What exactly was the point to the bad-hair-day segment?

Do you think Mackenzie Phillips looks a bit like Deb?

I love the word gesticulate. It sounds vaguely dirty - much like genuflect.

Ismene - love the "ditto" comment

OK, OK - I will rescind my beard comment. I will now embrace the beard! It does look itchy and might be a safe haven for food particles - just saying. My love for Mandy runs deep - I still quote many of his lines from Princess Bride…Hello, my name is ………

Best (most ridiculous) ever was Dexter and Harry explaining why Dexter knew there was a key hidden under a plant at Vogel's house. I never would have figured that out with out good old Harry

Me too. I am cancelling my subscription Monday morning (should have done it at the start of this season).

I don't think it was ever Deb's permanent address. She crashed at Dexter's whenever she was dealing with her latest Issue. She rented the beach house after a husband-wife murder (Deb didn't know the people) occurred there. She went with Mike - the detective from Chicago who was killed at the end of the season. He

Continuing your Shawshank reference - we, the audience, have had to slosh through miles of sh*t to get to the ending.

This is the most interesting idea ever. Thank you, PM.

I love watching her in anything. She should have gotten an Emmy for her portrayal of a dying woman - great acting (unlike what is going on now in Dexter).

Dexter was holding Vogel and rocking her bloody body then washed his hands??? Didn't he get blood on his clothing? Then, he doesn't wear gloves while he rummages through her files. He can explain his prints in some parts of her house but not in her desk drawers. I am amazed a wake can turn into a going away party so

Lemoncakes - I bow to your minutiae knowledge!! And my name in TRW ends in quist - I should have known.

Mandy Patinkin (spelling?) said Criminal Minds was the worst acting decision he ever made because it was so dark. I love Mandy (Princess Bride is the best) but his beard on Homeland is a bad decision.

I think I like that better than what I fear is actually going to happen.
