This stuff has bugged me so much. Where did Deb get the gun she used to kill El Sapo? Who took the jewels he had from the storage locker - Deb sure doesn't have them and they weren't in the car. Did she really kill him - if so, why all the misdirection. I play Dexter trivia and the trivia says she did it.

Yes, they were good. They were funny; that's what I miss. There were touchstones - the blood slides, the music and colors…. There was always the suspension of disbelief, but it was still logical enough you could buy in - not this season.

There are multiple coolers on boats - some even hold fish. I think it was an excuse for Dexter to sound sad about selling Harry's boat. If he is giving his car to Aster, why not give Harry's boat to Deb?

Did anyone else get distracted during the wake/going away party at Papa's by a white haired man in the background (I think during the Deb hand-off from Dexter to Quinn) telling a story. I wanted to know what he was saying. It had to be more interesting than the foreground dialogue. Also, I was hoping Harrison would

Tonight was almost tolerable. That doesn't mean I think it is anywhere close to previous seasons, or even good - just not as terrible as the rest.
*First, glad Dex finally got a haircut.
*Next, what did he do with all the stuff he collected from Vogel's house? He had to
get it out of the house before the police arrived

I just realized I am going to miss the posts (and posters) here more than I will miss Dexter! There is a wonderfully irreverent and snarky tone that I have not found on other blogs - suits me. Two more episodes and I will be losing critical, amusing friends.Where else can you find people posting about benches,

You know Vogel is dead?

You are so right. Vogel has been receiving brain parts for weeks. How did she think he took them out?

Don't forget Masuka being a perv - I miss his funny lines. I want Cuban music, garish colors, Miami city lights, camaraderie between the Miami Metro staff, vetting a bad guy, and a bad guy that has some continuity to the plot line.

Great - just great! You totally screwed me over, Rod Hull. Now I have to dig out the DVDs from that season and watch from the nightclub scene to the end to make sure the second guy got away. You do know I have a full time job and really don't have time to do this right now! Nice, give me a job I don't have time for.

Thanks for responding - I enjoyed your comments, patstar and pityrules.

I am worried for humanity - or at least the portion of humanity that is posting on fb and other Dexter recap sites (I am sure this is a total representation of all humanity in general) who think that this season is great and are looking forward to Dexter and Hannah living with Harrison on the beaches of Argentina. I

The antecedent of "it" is …..?

I am liking this….just having trouble picturing beach wolves.

I disagree. I am a serious Sherlock Holmes (the original) fan, and I enjoy Elementary. Lucy is growing on me. There was an early 70's movie There Might Be Giants where Watson was a woman - great flick…George C Scott was Sherlock (sort of).

They shouldn't have killed Doakes. They could have had him go to prison and then brought him back this season. Maybe that charred body wasn't Doakes just like Vogel's toasted son wasn't her real son.

Remember during the first episode when Dexter keep trying to call Deb but her voice-mail was full; he never thought to text her.

I was going to mention this and then thought it was too harsh - way to go, Flieger! Wouldn't want to mix up a Michael with a Yvonne.

But Saxson has been successful. He has been killing since he was a child and gotten away with it. What does he need to learn - new victimology? Why learn the code when rule one is don't get caught - he seems to have that down.

And bills Dexter's Miami Metro insurance.
