I personally think Pablo's the first time his lyrics have ever been subpar. Look no further that MBDTF and you'll find some amazing stuff, some genuinely insightful, some with some pretty hilarious wordplay (one word: sarcophagus).

It says something about TPAB that as far as I can recall, the one time Kanye tweeted something positive about someone other than himself (and Kim I guess) was when that album dropped and he talked about being just as blown away as everyone else was.

It can certainly be a little awkward. I'm usually the only straight white guy in my classes, so when the conversation drifts to the patriarchy and things like that, it's hard not to feel like everyone's eyes just turned towards me.

Yeah, it's tough to remember that the guy explaining how the entire concept of gender is a white supremacist conspiracy (a thing I was actually told) isn't exactly as influential as Donald Trump.

Fuck that hole I keep finding myself in where I'm annoyed with some of the political correctness at my college, but anyone who I try to complain about it to turns out to be on the even worse, MRA victim-blaming asshole side of the spectrum. Come on everyone, it's possible to champion feminism AND get a little sick of

You Must Remember This is never less than fascinating, but I have to wonder, was it really worth doing a Blacklist episode on Dorothy Parker? I'm not saying she's an uninteresting subject, but the episode basically spent 45 minutes discussing her pre-Blacklist life and then maybe 5 describing her at-best tangential

If it doesn't have anything to do with Richard Nixon then I'm not interested.

You could list the amount of deliciously savage putdowns Cogburn has for Labeouf in that movie.

Since it's mentioned in passing, can we talk about how beautiful Carter Burwell's score for True Grit is? There are parts of it that nail that old rousing western sound, and others that have some heartbreakingly mournful melodies. It's a shame it got overshadowed by the scores to Inception and The Social Network that

Between him and Michelle Monaghan, it's a mini Kiss Kiss Bang Bang reunion!

A Hollywood cult, the worst kind. Now I may be a simple man, but I like my cults built on old-fashioned, traditional values, like public stoning and human sacrifice. Nothing like that Hollywood debauchery.

Even if that man was the star of Full House?

I've been slowly making my way through City on Fire by Garth Risk Hallberg, and even though I'm only 300 pages into it, it's already becoming a personal favorite of mine. Hallberg has such a wide-eyed passion for all that New York City represents, but it doesn't keep him blind to the darker, more dangerous aspects of

Over this past week I've been on a Hitchcock binge, catching up on classics I haven't seen. I fell behind when I decided to watch Vertigo twice in a row instead of a new because I loved it so much, but I also got around to Notorious, that new documentary about his and Truffaut's interview, and I'm currently in the

John Stamos'. Have you SEEN that Paper magazine shoot?

What's the point of going to college in such a food-diverse city as New York if you're just going to only eat your cafeteria's food because you don't want to spend actual money? I've been kicking myself for not even going to Chinatown once so far this school year.

I'd be perfectly fine with Lucas' incessant original trilogy tinkering if he replaced Greedo entirely with Wayne LaPierre.

I feel like Gaston is the kind of guy who would super-like a girl on Tinder and then start the conversation by asking if she still has her virginity.

You've clearly never heard of High There!.
