I agree with you. Bates is too good to pull such a cheap shot. I believe this is the real deal.

All I can say is HOLY CRAP! I've been off the radar the last couple if weeks, and my DVR did my dirty work, and I just finished watching the last 3 EPS in a row, and what a roller coaster! I knew the marriage was doomed…..even when the confrontation at dinner happened. I knew the sheriff would treat Norman's axe

I agree! Miss those things too. But I fear it's too late.

That was supposed to happen this season. Remember the whole "sky is the limit" with the first elena-free season?

The first half was direction less too.

And once again…..disappointing. It was just bad. But on the bright side, tVD is consistent with one thing: I can count on it being bad even before I watch! Hooray, show!

I recently did the same thing, Julie and I totally agree. Season 1-3 was the best this show ever was - and it was good! I live in Canada and tVD airs on Thursday and I just saw this week's episode, and unfortunately, the poor writing and story points continue………I won't spoil it for you, but suffice to say, instead of

Ric has got the wrong end of the stick with the writing of his character this season.
Paul Wesley really does look like he's phoning in his lines. He seems bored and over playing this character. Also, the writers haven't done the Stefan character any favours this season either.
Caroline is also a casuality of the

I wouldn't put too much stock into Julie Plec's engame plan to make sense. She apparently had season 7 "all worked out" too.

This thread just articulated what I couldn't about Bonnie. I'm glad she's getting some air time and a story, but it, like everything else this season didn't sit right. I now see it's because the writers are turning her into an Elena-like damsel in distress. Bonnie could (and should) be a powerful character, and

Drink lots of coffee, or copious amounts of alcohol before you watch! I made the mistake of not doing that before I watched……big regret.

I wish you could extra-like a comment, instead of merely liking it. I extra-like yours.

Me too Carrie. I was holding on to the dragon hope as well.

Do you really think chick is going to drop this? I'm not so sure…..I think he's kind of a weird character and wouldn't trust him much. I'm also not so sure what that kiss was all about. Perhaps it was altruistic, but the again, the sheriff was standing right there.

Good. I rarely encourage others to watch a TV show, but this one is an exception. Hope you enjoy when you get the chance to watch.

I don't care what is in the pod. Lamest cliffhanger ever.

You really should go back and watch all the seasons. It's worth it.

Your right about the growth of Dylan and Norma's relationship. I think everyone's relationships have grown and developed over the course of the show, which is a nice shout out to the writers. They've managed a trajectory of development with each character that's been organic and true, rather than making

Amazing episode. And I mean AMAZING! Norma was perfectly Norma - I laughed, I cried, I was shocked. It was riveting. But another perk for me was that it was an ep with both Chick and Caleb in it, and both characters belonged and were tolerable. I can't see Chick giving up his revenge fantasies this easily, and Caleb

That clears it up! And in 18 words! Well done!
