Basically this is why I'm open to more Elm Street movies. The bare bones concept of the movie is about disturbing nightmares, which offers endless opportunities for weird and freaky new material. There was no excuse for the reboot to rehash so many scenes from the original movie, only to do all of them a hell of a lot

That's the point I was making, there's subtext about the use of sexuality in the movies. It's not just teenagers boinking every other scene because it's a slasher movie, it's because they're afraid to go to sleep alone if at all or they have repressed hetero/homosexual tendencies that they're confused about.

Too many funnies here, I'll just go with: Our universe is doomed! *Links arms* DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

I would watch a movie about Andy Serkis killing people.

The weird thing about parts 2, 3, and 4, is that they take place the following day after the last movie, which technically doesn't make them Friday the 13th films but Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15 films.

"Hey…it could not be worse than anything else they've released" - Me hoping to not soon eat my words.

New?

Hollywood Ryans have nearly gone extinct thanks to the usurping of the Hollywood Chris C(h)risis.

I only recently finished season one of Rick and Morty, needless to say, "X Gonna Give It To Ya" is my song of the summer.

I'm ashamed at how long it's taken me to get on board the TJ Miller bandwagon (thank you Silicon Valley), but the fact that he's in this trading barbs with Ryan Reynolds for 2 hours, I'll be there opening day.

That scene ultimately underlined for me how good-natured the movie/show is. It COULD have gone a different way where the characters make a joke about Ben and McKinley's relationship, but instead celebrates it. It's so sweet.

Yeah I went back to watch the movie after I finished the series, and he really would have fit in the original film like a glove.

*High five* Deleted mine last year!

If H. Jon Benjamin is on your show, you have to make him suffer.

Between Tom Hiddleston starring in Crimson Peak and James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe starring in Victor Frankenstein, I think my fingers would be broken by that point.

Why male models?

Which one is the one with Dean Winters? I remember stumbling upon that during 30 Rock's heyday and having a really good laugh at him acting seriously.

It also used the parallel of Heather Langenkamp's stalker in the film, which honestly is scary enough to be a movie all on its own.

Jason Lives is my favorite F13 movie. It's silliness made me like the characters a lot more. Jason X for all of its wackiness doesn't feel like a Friday the 13th movie to me at all.
