No I certainly haven't. But from the brief summary I'm looking at it kind of sounds like (along with the other novels) George Lucas's THX 1138. No one ever talks about that movie despite being an amalgamation of these stories.

We read the big three in high school: Brave New World, 1984, and Fahrenheit 451. The latter was my particular favorite and I'm always happy to see different interpretations of that story like Equilibrium which has the added benefit of gun-sword fights.

Just thinking about that put me in giggle fits. He really is the highlight of the film.

That's my favorite part of the whole movie, kinda silly since it's the opening credits.

I called my mom to tell her because The Birdcage is one of her all time favorite movies. She's always loved Robin Williams and always dreamed of being married to him. I didn't realize how bad this affected me until I started to say what had happened and I broke down crying. Luckily she already knew so I didn't have to

Unfortunately this will get buried in the comments because I'm just now getting around to reading this. However, I wrote an essay called "Superhero Fatigue", based on so many things that we have been talking about here and at TOS in regards to superhero movies. I would appreciate if some of you took a look.

Which is kind of funny considering how there is a goofy aspect to the DC characters. By constantly playing these movies as grim and serious they're going to look really ridiculous if they bring in Martian Man-Hunter. I think their TV shows are gonna prove to be more successful in the long run.

I just learned who Pia Zadora was and what The Lonely Lady was like 12 hours ago. If I can understand this joke, I can take on the entire world.

Pretty sure Paul Walker is only on here because he died tragically. Tragic deaths are so hot right now.

Jason Bateman dude.

That's probably my favorite shot out of the entire movie.

I remember when I saw Thor and they did a similar thing where it said "Thor will return in The Avengers" and I thought, well yeah this was just a 2 hour commercial for The Avengers. This time around I was more optimistic because it does feel like it's own series.

One of my best friend's from high school has a mom who loves musicals. Once I went to watch a musical and sat by her, where I got to listen to the whole musical in stereo because she was singing along, crying, and laughing all at the same time.

I feel you. I saw this again last night with a friend and there were two girls to the left of me. The one on the far left decided to sing along with EVERY song. By the third time she did this I looked over at her friend and asked "Really?", so it kinda shut her up.

How do you eat?

As of right now, I really like what Fox has done with the X-Men films which makes me think that maybe the Fantastic Four reboot will actually be better this time around. I don't think the X-Men really fit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anyway.

While I am looking forward to the movie I am just so happy that the Harvey Birdman references never stop here at the AVClub.

I noticed that too. Makes her look like her eyes were drawn by Disney animators.

So does that Benicio Del Toro Wolfman remake factor into this? I remember…not hating it…

And I would consider myself the reversal. I'm college age and I hands down prefer the Michael Keaton Batman over Christian Bale.
