Yeah I can really picture frat boys throwing around brewskies and demanding the DJ crank that Janelle Monae shit even louder.

Interesting point. Which could really go back to the character design, if they had tried to branch out of the Rapunzel template they could have maybe made Elsa look older if not more like Idina herself to help justify her mature voice. (Although by that logic Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell would not ever be considered…
It is contextual. You're cheating yourself by not having seen the movie. But on the other hand if on a first appearance without any context you're not impressed, you might not like it anyway.
I've seen a lot of discussion about the depth of Sucker Punch, particularly regarding who is truly the main character and what their ultimate story is really about. However when I read/watch these I still consider the film to be an absolute failure if these themes and messages are ones that a viewer has to stretch to…
There is no era of Snyder films that anyone would collectively enjoy years down the road. I'll defend Watchmen, but I damn well learned my lesson after Sucker Punch.
This actually does make the most sense because the movie was very alienating. Sure Watchmen is one of the most well renowned graphic novels of all time, but the general audience doesn't know this and most likely wasn't aware of its existence. The only people who were going to see this movie were the people who read…
I thought the casting for the most part was good to great across the board (Jackie Earle Haley and Billy Crudup being the standouts). But Matthew Goode's Ozymandias was just all kinds of wrong. Not just physically which I could have let go if not for the fact that the moment he's on screen you know he's the bad guy.…
Shaq has doctorate in education actually.
I doubt many people have seen and read The Servants of Twilight and it's adaptation with Bruce Greenwood. For a TV movie it wasn't terrible until it completely undermined the end of the book and did a 180 into some kind of Omen movie.
I have accumulated at least half of his novels since high school just because they're pretty easy reads and his mid-to-late 80s novels are enjoyable in my opinion.
In 2021, Shrek20.
Monica is an aggressive and competitive crazy person when she wants to be. It might not have been fleshed out as well in the earliest seasons but I don't find it surprising that she'd enjoy JCVD era action movies.
It has a strong final season, though I mean "season 8" NOT the spin-off "season 9". I mean the spin-off is harmless but it's also terrible.
I'm a huge Nightmare on Elm Street fan so "Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace" holds a special place in my heart as do most of the Treehouse of Horrors. But I completely agree that the "roach motel" death scene in part 4 (in an otherwise lacking film compared to the amazing part 3 Dream Warriors) is one of the scariest…
And he's seeing if the people are worth his organs. He does this by harassing them. He calls up Woody Harrelson and makes fun of him for being blind just to see if what his reaction will be. Because you know just because you're blind doesn't mean you might not be an asshole. Thanks for knocking them down a peg Will…
He left his 16 year old wife and mother of his child to go be with Milla Jovovich. That's incredibly sad.
Yes that's exactly why I'm totally Team Marvel at this point. Just going to see these movies in theater are some of the most amazing and fun experiences. I mean when my friends and I saw Thor 2, it wasn't just us getting super excited about Captain America's cameo, it was the entire theater exploding with excitement…
I know what you mean. And this makes me incredibly sad because I have a very delayed crush on 84 Michael Biehn. He was built sure but he was not a buff guy, he was unassuming and vulnerable. I liked Anton Yelchin's Kyle Reese too, he wasn't as hardened as Biehn's version was but still smart and resourceful.
This and I always enjoyed their Christmas special where Timmy wishes for everyday to be Christmas.
I forgot all about that episode with the puppets. It's hilarious. Everyone's reaction to Squidward and he's like "What?"
