@DesertDweller79:disqus Wow, what an insane story. I just read the whole thing. I hope she gets out soon.

I don't think that's necessarily true. The look and feel of this show is so cold, and most of the characters are sketched that way too.

@avclub-d4ff3c518d33328bfadc34f25b054267:disqus Consider, getting extra long ties maybe? I don't your shopping preferences but my favorites are by Drake's London and they do longer lengths for most of their pieces:

Oh god yes.  Those suits are impeccably tailored. The only quibble I have is that he frequently has his tie be the same color as his shirt which is a  practice that I can't get behind. But swap them out with white poplin spread collars and I'm there.

@avclub-29501df08e5d9ae59e432e4f188d3735:disqus Since this is the AVClub, I'm going to recommend some topical pop culture.

Oh yes. Naive old me thought these issues would become less prevalent in my life with my shiny Ivy League education and blue blazer with khakis.

Aww, seeing dead and armless Anna Chlumsky will make me very sad.

I'm so sad it's going to be gone. I finally gave it a chance around episode 6 and it's become my favorite new show of the past year. I like it even more than The Americans, and I love The Americans.

Oh yeah. It's been happening in bits and pieces but she's definitely explicitly mimicking some of his mannerisms now. Last episode when Don comes to her bedroom to talk to her she does the leaning on the wall hand held to forehead we've seen Don do many many times now.

@avclub-f336f687c802c5fb53f586a467b03580:disqus I'm hoping the Academy will at least pull a Friday Night Lights/Kyle Chandler and give it to Hamm for the final season even if it may possible not be his strongest season in the show because the realize it's a performance that needs to be recognized.

The crazy thing is that they most likely are. He was on a ridiculous exercise regimen while filming this.

I'm supposed to be studying in the library, but instead I'm leaning back in our ludicrously expensive chairs and taking this in.

@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus I love the AV Club. I commented a few hundred words last night about how it's single handedly shaped my pop cultural tastes as far as television and movies go on the "Who's your pop culture mentor?" post.

@avclub-29501df08e5d9ae59e432e4f188d3735:disqus I feel like I'm missing something.

As much as I wish this were true, my dad used to be in the military, so no mustaches ever or suspenders for that matter. You were more likely to see him with his crewneck undershirt tucked into his khakis.

I grew up in a working class immigrant family in New York. I wish I could say that it was one of my parents, or a relative, or even a teacher but they were too busy trying to give me the resources to be a the best student I possibly could so that by the time I was in high school any road I wanted to take would be open

How is the USDA responsible for funds related to drug rehabilitation clinics?

I don't follow them closely, but I take them very seriously. It's biggest stamp of approval anything in media could get, so Switched at Birth has now become must watch TV for me.

This all sounds very good. I'm actually starting to be a little impressed with ABC family now. The Fosters had a decent pilot, I absolutely love Bunheads and now I'm discovering SaB is actually a good show. I'd always stayed away because the premise sounded way too hammy for me but I'm now on the second episode and
