Longform allows him to tell a story the way it should be told without breaking it up into bitesized chunks (and thus ruining the pacing). Just pause when you need to; it's worth it. He's the only history podcaster I still listen to, and I used to listen to a lot (before I started just reading instead). Dan's

No, I never did. It was always the Final Fantasy I was most interested in (people compared it to Xenoblade a lot and I, uh, really freakin' love Xenoblade), but I had no PS2 or backwards compatible PS3. This remake was a godsend, and that they upgraded it so well makes me extremely excited.

I deleted Overwatch from my PS4 because it was taking over my life and preventing me from doing the things I wanted to accomplish before college starts (mainly reading and writing.) So I've just been working through FF12: The Zodiac Age little by little.

That podcast is one of the best things I've ever heard. I mean, one of the worst. But… you know what I mean. That was the podcast that got me out of just listening to history and start reading about it.

This feels like a good time to bring back up the best Clickhole article of all time.

Let's hold people's democratic rights ransom based on their previous political views! What could go wrong?!?

Going tomorrow to get my brain scanned. It's probably nothing serious, but I've been seeing so many people reference brain cancer recently that I'm getting more nervous.

Here's my big problem with MK8 on the Wii U, and I haven't seen people mention if it's changed in Deluxe. It's not a huge problem at its base level, but it kept me from diving into the game for hundreds of hours the way Wii did.

Why are we all forgetting DKC Tropical Freeze? That game was a masterpiece of platforming design, and it sold like trash. Really a pity.

Yeah, I don't expect a GOT or The Expanse level adaption. But maybe it'll at least be better than The Walking Dead.

Why do you say that? I loved the last book - the only way to conclude a 14 book epic was with a huge booklong battle that involved all the characters, and it was done brilliantly. I pulled an all nighter reading it through.

Highly agreed. I adore WOT to death; the world, magic, and especially prose were amazing. I just skim when I need to, it's not that hard. Excited as hell for the show, hope they don't mess it up. if they do… well, it happens. Not everything gets a great adaption. But I'm hopeful.

Highly disagree. Book 11 was better than book 10, but it was still moving painfully slow, about like 8 and 9. It just seemed better because it came after Crossroads, which was actual trash. I give most of the credit for the awesomeness of books 12 and 13 to Sanderson, honestly. You just know Jordan would have

Agreed! Don't have much to say other than that I enjoyed it immensely. More like this would be welcome!

It's not on this level, probably, but The Last Kingdom's first season finale had a speech and battle that made me jump up off the couch (in a good way) in the same way LOTR's speeches/battles do.

Oh, I'll buy it, make no mistake. Monolioth does amazing work. I'd just be a lot more excited right now if they didn't call it Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Them making a sequel to my favorite game ever - Xenoblade Chronicles - should have sold me on the console. Unfortunately, the game looks kinda… ick. I get the impression the B team at Monolith is doing this one; I despise the art style. Still… I should have some faith in Monolith.

Not a movie per se, but Uncharted 4's cut to opening credits after hitting the water was one of the most exciting viewing moments I had this year.

I know I shouldn't, but dang it if I can't help but enjoy watching Game Grumps.

Quit my awful job at the Waffle House and got a new one at Reasor's that looks waaaaay better. School is going wonderfully too, I'm actually feeling confident about going to University next year. Going to start trying to actually go out to do things. Found a live music place and a ballroom dancing class I'm gonna try.
