They're pretty much the musical equivalent of Trader Joe's.

While I agree that the reviewer sounds a bit fangirlish (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), I liked that she actually tried to describe the music and presented examples of lyrics that caught her ear. Too often sites like the AV Club and Pitchfork publish music reviews that barely touch on what an album actually

As someone who has mostly criticized Kesha for her music in the past, I have to say that I'm impressed with this song (and have actually added it to a playlist!). I like the harsh vocals that creep in especially.

This should be a For Our Consideration instead of a review, as it has only a few sentences that actually review the album.

That Chance the Rapper track is awful, and he's really starting to grate. I've been listening to a bunch of 20syl lately, and I'm convinced that he's one of the best producers out there. Motifs II is a 10/10 EP. Also been listening to The Classic Crime's latest, which is pretty good musically and excellent lyrically,

MAWP?

Yeah, successful websites that use their popularity to promote charitable causes are the worst! They can never be as good as pop culture websites that are bought by a large, profit-driven multimedia corporation with political ambitions!

The best parody is still the one scene in Leslie Nielsen's Wrongfully Accused where the lifeguards run into the ocean in slow motion, only to quickly jump out because the water is too cold.

And pay insane insurance rates.

The Audi headlights are fairly iconic at this point, though. Also, the French people I know all LOVE Audis (anecdotal, I know, but I know a lot of French people), so I don't find it surprising.

I just realized the nominal connection between Snakes on a Plane and Cobra Starship, the band that had a hit single from the soundtrack. I'm not a smart man.

Sure, I can respect that. From what I've heard, though, Lil Wayne's music is pretty much Ke$ha or Nickelback levels of bad.

I think I'm going with Emery's incredibly beautiful solo at the end of "I'm Not Here for Revenge, I'm here for Revenge," which I believe was written by the lead guitarist of August Burns Red (who have a number of great solos as well). It's not the most complex or difficult solo, but it's the perfect ending to the song.

Oh, definitely. And I should know - I had a Legend poster on my wall in my freshman dorm.

The answer is none, especially if you are looking at songs that he actually wrote and didn't have others write for him.

"From roughly 2005 to 2010, he was the consensus best rapper alive.." Among seventh graders, maybe.

No, Bob Marley sang "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

I get that, and I certainly listen to (and make) music that other people would deride (often fairly).

I get that you're a nun, but I think this answer is pretty obvious…

Yeah, the praise Carly Rae Jepsen gets on certain websites is bizarre — her music isn't any more challenging or complex than, say, Taylor Swift's, and I personally find her voice to be grating.
