I disagree, and I really enjoy Good Kid M.A.A.D. City. The production of To Pimp a Butterfly is far beyond Good Kid, and lyrically and thematically it's much more mature.

I'm with you, imc, in not getting his appeal at all. His lyrics are awful, his flow is bland, and I may even be a better singer than he is. Even his production is usually one-note and lacking any sort of dynamics. "One Dance" is embarrassingly bad.

My favorite scene was Stone dancing in the bar or wherever. She was really giving it all she had, and there was so much fun and spontaneity in her performance and dancing. To me, the audition scene was too clearly her trying to give a good performance - she shone more, and showed more charisma, when she cut loose.
