I was a bit thrown off by the first episodes, which were great, but had an overeliance on plot that I wasn't expecting. And it's not that the plot or the answers aren't good, it's just that that's not what made the show so good in season 2.

It's sort of baffling to think about her role in the beginning of season 1 and how ultimately she became the heart and soul of that show (along with Martin Sheen, of course). She is SO good.
