I don't even think everyone is pushing this idea. I've only seen Alston using this term. Other critics may like Mom or Cristela, but they don't think that two shows is significant enough to qualify for a multi-cam renaissance.

I had no idea things were that dire in terms of diversity for Survivor locations. They keep adding twists in an effort to disguise the lack of new locations, I suppose.

If Peih-Gee gets brought back (pretty sure she will), she's my top favorite. I still giggle uncontrollably whenever I remember her and Jamie sabotaging the challenge.

I agree somewhat, except that I don't find Jake obnoxious. He's the worst character on the show, but that's just saying how much the other characters are good than how awful he is (as I said, I don't think he is at all).

I LOVE that one.

No. I don't remember if they ever appeared on the series, though. Maybe they're exclusive to films.

I hate when shows do that. It gives no weight to the death itself.

Showtime's definitely on a row.

Yeah, The Knick is pretty freaking gorgeous. And I think both it and Penny Dreadful lose to Hannibal as well.

I watched the premiere this week. I really do like the show, even though I feel like it needs a great arc to cement itself as top notch TV. So far, it's wonderful batshit insanity enhanced by a terrific ensemble that glouriously fills their mouths with pompous dialogue that delights itself from quoting English

For starters, you should read anything from Edgar Allan Poe. From the top of my head, I'd recommend The Fall of the House of Usher, William Wilson, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Black Cat and The Oval Portrait, but you could go on your own and choose randomly and you probably won't go wrong.

She is already pretty fantastic in the premiere. She'll prove to be a very strong competitor for best scenery chewing against Eva Green.

I feel pretty much the same way. The show is a bit erratic, and you can't even mention that because people will take that as an excuse to not watch the show. But I really did came to care about the leads (and some of the supporting characters, to a lesser extant), and that's more than I can say for other comedies

I was kinda rooting for an Emmy nod for Anna Faris last year. She was brilliant and she continues to be so. Janney, with her powerful voice, awkward height and frantic energy, was pretty much born to do comedy - and yet, she really is a force of nature when she's given dramatic material.

Woah, you really honestly think that there are only two great examples in the past 30 years? I mean, I could understand somebody saying that there isn't one in the past 10 years, but 30 is just nuts. Basically you hate everything from the 80's and 90's, since single-cams only became prominent in the 00's.

To be honest, I stopped watching Revenge midway through season 2, so I could be wrong about it.

Most soaps are only good for a season anyway, they tend to burn down very fast. Revenge, Desperate Housewives, I guess you could throw Glee in there too. That's why I'm super scared about Empire season 2. I kinda loved that first season in spite of myself.

As well you should.

I don't know, I'm kinda sick of all the romantic drama for Jane the Virgin. My relationship with this show is similar to the one I had with Glee: I prefer both when they aren't taking themselves seriously (and before anybody says anything, yes, I know Jane is far better than Glee ever was). The relationship drama has

Mysteries of Laura is currently pulling pretty much the same numbers Harry's Law did in its final episodes (perhaps a little lower in total viewers, but the same in the 18-49 demo). But Revolution is a show I think NBC should have kept, it had mediocre ratings, but at least it had a fanbase.
