I'd have bought these if I'd seen them on a shelf, but I'm not about to order them online. It's one of those things I could justify to myself after the fact on an impulse, whereas online ordering is a bit more premeditated.
The whole series has played fast and loose with causality to the point where I don't know why anything matters to anyone any more. Especially when there are countless other Earths where totally different decisions are being made anyway, before you even get into alternate timelines and paradoxes. Why are some events…
I know, right? Considering all the effort people had already taken to save Barry from a life of misery (and Savitar-ness), he then subjects Iris to that instead? Jay Garrick rescued Barry so he *wouldn't* have to live forever in the Speed Force. All that torture, for nothing? And if this were the "right choice," then…
Julian: "Good news, Caitlyn! We have a cure! You don't have to be a supervillain any more!"
Caitlyn: "Thanks, but I'm going to try out the whole conflicted supervillain thing for a while, instead. Is that fine with everyone?"
Barry: "Yeah, sure, you do you."
Caitlyn: "Thanks! Kill ya later! I mean, see you later."
Cisco:…
Also, if the newspaper report of 2024 came back post-Savitar, presumably that meant Barry didn't *have* to be the Speed Force prisoner. (Unless the unexplained "newspaper projector" device doesn't refresh often enough to take into account things like Garrick returning.)
I hope every year they treat Wells like a South Park running gag.
"Oh my god, they killed Harry!"
"You bastards!"
(Okay, so I don't really hope that.)
Maybe she does, in whatever timeline led to Savitar going back in time, resulting in having to capture him in a time force trap.
I'm guessing they do it to minimize the "Mary Sue" factor. Can't have them be practically perfect in every way. (Oh wait, that was Mary Poppins, not Mary Sue.)
You don't own a car!
But why are they in space? There's no reason for them to be in space!
They needed the hiatus when it started, I think it was showing in the last few e-mails. But c'mon, everypeoples! Ten years is too long, Clanky.
Or maybe he was just a dragon…
On the contrary, Strong Sad, there's EVERY reason for them to be in space! I mean, to have an oral history of a flash cartoon website from the early 2000's.
Doot. Doot. Doot. Doot.
Budda-lump bump!
DOUGLAS!
Oh. Man. You guys. This is the best comment thread ever. Seriously.
RIP, Mr. Seaver.
I think the English guy just has the same accent/dialect as Gervais, and it's one not often heard on TV/movies.
I liked the "thank God for model trains" joke. Also the "dessert talk" line. But yeah, not a lot of memorable jokes in that one, really.
