Not sure Tartt would count. She's really overrated anyway. And I hate using that pejorative for any artist so when I do I happen to mean it.

It's an underrated movie, even if the end where he's rambling on set post-epiphany is a bit too cloying and improvised.
Eh, I like the movie for its mood and visuals. About two thirds of it is the protagonist's dream, after all.
I wouldn't be surprised if Pizzolatto went even further with the gratuitous nudity this time around. Rightly or wrongly you could tell he was really sick of the sexist accusations last time, and the main cast is still three quarters male.
It's not my favorite Kubrick, but I'm glad it's now generally seen as a really good movie since its divisive release.
I've never been, but Glasonbury's always got a ton of non-music related stuff going on - almost like a Burning Man in the English countryside. A lot of people go and barely catch any of the bands the whole weekend.
In fairness Glastonbury sells out long before any headliners are announced (it's a great business model).
Not a fan of his music, but Gallagher is a very self-deprecating guy and the funniest interviewee around. His recent promotional tour was a quote factory.
Can we confirm the title of this article is a reference to the Clash song? I only ask as we have a habit of thinking the UK, England and London are synonymous and it's a bizarre, irrational pet hate of mine.
With that movie's production design there'd be worse ways to spend 2 hours.
Agreed. You can be tired of both things.
Reloaded was well-meaning but convoluted. Revolutions doesn't even try.
Given the love the movie gets, I had thought the movie must glamorize
the mob lifestyle. While it does do that to a certain extent, I can't
believe anyone but a raging sociopath would watch this film and think:
"Organized crime, that's the life for me."
I know, I'm in the minority. But the threadbare motivations of Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Juliet to do what they do kill it for me.
Season 4's a lean, intense season. 5 is where the show reaches the point of no return, but unlike 6 it's at least fun. Although The Incident was a terrible finale.
I liked season 3 more in hindsight, but these first 6 episodes really were treading water. You can only be kept in the dark about the Others' motivations for so long before you stop caring. In fact I'm still not entirely sure why they acted that way now it's done.
Nope, it seems a lot of supposed liberals have managed to get really wound up too.
That's perhaps the own goal on the part of the band: the album's really rather good and got deserved praise in many publications. But many here assume it's terrible because of the baity name that made it. Oh well.
Homer Simpson's a great example. Like him, they made Britta way too stupid. Even Jeff notes in season 5 'I swear when we first met you were less dumb than me'. I took that as a meta reference.
Is she meant to be funny in season 6? Because.. she really isn't.
