Yeah, that's a real racket…
Yeah, that's a real racket…
Aww shaddup! There's no crying in baseball!
My late dad loved "Okie From Muskogie". But then he also thought what a crime it was that they made Archie Bunker look like an idiot, so what did he know?
Stay classy, Trump. Also, keep flying, pigs.
So long as Monroe stays with the show, so will I.
Jimmy's revenge is so long game and meticulous and acutely precise that I'm still getting goosebumps hours after finally watching it.
*Thank* you - as a long time Trekkie and a late newcomer to podcasts, I needed something like this to fill my commuting time :-)
I'm glad I overcame my reluctance and watched this episode; he, and some decent sketches, had elevated it a little out of the usual morass. Except for the Pooh sketch.
And some bush. Not enough bush, really. They do a lot of southern gardening for a medieval environment; don't they know Winter is Coming?
Mostly tits.
I remain impressed by Lithgow's completely reasonable and human panicked reaction to his first spacewalk in 2010 (and the Russian girl when they were doing the slingshot sequence). It was also one of the few positive space movies of the era, free of monsters… except, of course, the monsters of our own hate and fear.
"Oh my God, the swan ate my baby!"
-Drop Dead Gorgeous
A superlative series. People who complain about American Horror Story being uneven, bombastic, OTT etc surely can have no issues with ACS.
"I'm too sexy for Fred."
"God is dead." - Fred
I loved the Soviet sci-fi films of the 50s and 60s, even the Westernised versions that Corman's studios made. They seemed more optimistic, more scientifically believable, with fewer rubbery monsters, and with women in roles equal to the men.
They won't get fooled again…
If they were truly committed to their beliefs, they would stick to their proverbial guns and let the boycotts go ahead. Now Jesus is crying in Heaven over their lack of faith, and can't continue punishing all the gays, socialists and unwed mothers.
One bright spot about BvS: we finally get to see the origin of Batman. It's a subject we've only ever seen in three, four other movies.
Loved the throwaway gags:
Survivalist: "I did some checking on you, of course. Your father moves in some impressive circles."
Sherlock: "Yes, he favours the Ninth."
