I finally got an old friend hooked on Game of Thrones, after a great deal of resistance as she thought it was just gonna be all "Hobbity shit". She's just finished Season 5 so now we'll all be on the same page now.

I *was* considering making a glib and unsolicited comment about all the fans who grew up thinking their music was so *cool*. Then I remembered all my old LPs of Night Ranger, Great White, Winger, Sam Fox… Yeah, I'll just be over here being very quiet.
Oh, I agree; I was just trying not to crap on him too much :-)
Snyder's one successful contribution to the superhero movie, Watchmen, was a deconstructionist portrayal of the caped ones as dark, disturbed, damaged and dangerous; his inspiration for BvS, the Dark Knight Returns, reflects this as well, but it was never meant to be taken as a mainstream view of DC's biggest icons.…
If it makes him feel any better, the fault chiefly lies with Snyder, Goyer and the producers. He seemed to fit the role well enough.
This is really, really, REALLY pathetic. He's two steps away from standing in the streets eating dog shit for loose change.
You're expecting a SCRIPT? I just assume it'll be a lot of constipated looks and soundbites for the trailers.
Movie Movie? Holy crap, I'd forgotten about that…
Remember when they were promising that because they used lasers instead of needles, CDs would never scratch? Hahahahahahahahaha!
Wow, Hogan hasn't aged well since his Crocodile Dundee days.
It does seem like an obvious and cheap way to exposit, ala a Captain's Log.
Was that the first time Nick is seen updating the Grimm journals for the sake of all the Next Generation Grimms to come?
I guess you understand The Importance Of that…
I love the Monster of the Week - it brings out the Kolchak in me - but the placement of this in the current story arc felt jarring. On the other hand, I guess the world doesn't stop doing what it does just 'coz something interesting is happening in one corner of it.
All gods are bastards…
"Let me make my points clear, one by one. One: I try not to let my temper get the better of me."
(snips off Eddie Black's finger)
"Two: I don't always succeed."
(snips off another of Eddie Black's fingers)
"Three: I have eight more points to make…"
Some bored minor gods are running a fucked up scavenger hunt, methinks…
Just watched the first episode, and the only aspect that caught my attention was Annie Funke. Nice to see a big boned gal being a professional out in the field and not having to be a quirky pixie
And my wife will only let me near her opinion on my birthday.
I hate that an obvious murderer got away with his crime. But damn, I can't help but cheer on the defence team when they pull shit like that bit with the gloves - and get the prosecutors to bring it up :-)
