I loved him last season, too, but I’m thrilled they’ve given him more to work with this go round. Shades, Mariah, and Comanche are stressing me out and breaking my heart.

Tell Netflix to stop releasing shows like they’re spamming their platform.
I think they’re setting the stage to make the show about Luke and Luke alone or to put him in a place to transition over to Heroes for Hire.
Built Ford tough.
We didn’t need that moment to understand that smashing a bottle on a man’s head for a selfie is insane, but perhaps “unnecessary” will sit better with you.
Shrug. I get his feelings, but he just seemed extra pressed about specifically Mariah, like she was the one who’d wronged him and, aside from being rude once, she hadn’t. It was “Mariah, Mariah, Mariah,” not “the Stokes family.” And he was simply one of the many characters who blamed all of history’s woes (including…
It’s something that should be addressed considering that other folk keep getting accused of it.
She doesn’t return. It was all pointless and really weird.
The writing’s been on the wall for Mariah since like episode two. She just refuses to listen or show that man the commitment and appreciation he shows her and...yeah.
Shades may have been lying to himself about his bisexuality, but I felt he was being honest about not wanting Comanche like that. He’s legit in love with Mariah. That’s who he wants to be with, not Comanche.
Very true. I’m not mad at all that he was coming for “his birthright,” but the whole time, he was all “Mariah this and that. Like, bruh: just go get your shit; you and Mariah were young and she didn’t kill anyone back then. Just too much.
I’m glad she had an excuse to get out. This show turned her into “the girlfriend.” I didn’t miss her or the show’s treatment of her.
Comanche was already “betraying” Shades before he rejected him. He was trying to get out of being an informant when Shades caught him and was still pushing for Mariah to get sent away. I think he would have kept trying to do right by Shades had he lived.
I know I feel about James Lucas: he’s portrayed by Reg E Cathey, so I love him. What you thought?
I’m a sucker for unrequited love, so I was moved by the Comanche/Shades scene.
Shades is probably bi.
This season, they’ve pretty much tried everything Mariah suggested (burning, poison dust, drowning) except going after Claire. Lucky that she bailed out when she did.
Misty who he basically called an old groupie the night they met? I’m not saying the show is colorstruck, I’m saying the character is.
Reasons and excuses. The roles could have been cast the other way around, or really in a number of ways, but they weren’t. You can explain Jessica because that’s canon, you can explain Claire because she was cast long before the show, but then you have Reva, and this random “thoughtless” moment and it’s very what the…
I wouldn’t be surprised if they never paired Danny and Misty or if they simply reduced their relationship to a one-night-stand because “reasons.” I felt like pairing Colleen with Danny was a strategic move to avoid his relationship with Misty. Will be shocked if I’m wrong.
