Comanche is starting to get super needy with Shades.

I think him hitting the wall was necessary for the story and just a very Luke thing to do; he really thinks the answer to every problem is his fists (or sexual/gendered insults when it comes to women*) and he’s been sanctimonious since season one.
What happened to Luke’s apartment before Claire? Doesn’t he have anywhere to go? Is Luke a fuckboi? Discuss.
They enjoy running shit into the ground on this show. I wouldn’t be mad if they went back through this season and inserted dead air over 9/10 coffee references.
I’m so over certain black men and women whining about how hard it is to be a black man as if black women don’t get questioned, treated with suspicion, stereotyped as angry, and shot down. As if their lot in life justifies misogyny, abuse, and selfishness. Man, Luke is such a weak bitch! Instead of whatever traditional…
And I think Luke Cage has made the worst use of her: turning her into “the girlfriend.” It suuuuuucks and I’ve hated their relationship from the start. Fly free, Claire, fly free!
Not sure why you need to blame your whiteness; there’s probably no black secret here. Maybe his mom gave birth to him in Jamaica and left him there. Or he has other ancestors who immigrated to the Harlem and established themselves. Or his family funded or was promised a piece of Harlem and got screwed over.
I’m tired of Misty’s arrogant incompetence. I can’t understand why they write her this way. She talks about knowing something in her gut and I’m just like, “girl, nobody trusts your fucking gut! Take a tums and relax!” No clue why they even let her back on the force with all her screwups.
MARIAH AND SHADES IS FUCKING.
Agreed. Sometimes I felt like I wasn’t hearing dialogue clearly and I wasn’t sure if I was zoning out or if it was the sound.
They weren’t given the whole season to review last time.
All the critics reviewed what they were given. Netflix scammed them by withholding the second half shit show.
The school scene worked fine for me, it was the restaurant where the perspectives started to diverge too far. Helen doesn’t remember Noah being there to discuss “Fun Home,” okay, guess she’s wrong, but they had two vastly different conversations in the bathroom. I just couldn’t make it work in my mind.
Quite telling that, of all the celebrities expressing condolences, none so far are women. Amazing what people are willing to overlook just for a nice flow or a little airplay.
An attempted murderer got murdered. What happened to him wasn’t worse; someone else just succeeded where he failed.
No. He’s spent all of these years being presumed innocent while he was blacklisting and emotionally abusing this woman.
Yup. I was relieved that at least he got away, but still: fuuuuuck Dolores.
I think it was Mahershela’s performance; Cottonmouth ended up being pretty dumb.
You give me hope. If it can happen to Emily, it can happen to Noah.
I disagree. I like this aspect of the show, though I did think it was one of those times where the perspectives were impossible to reconcile. Helen thinks Noah wasn’t there for the “Fun Home” conversation, yet Noah remembers Helen prodding the son to come out? Helen remembers blaming a pretty chill Noah for the son’s…
