How did I "undercut my point" by laughing at the melodrama behind both your comment and her screeching?

Oh the melodrama.
Like Caitriona's screeching.

I can't really fix your perception for you. What topic?

Really? I reply to every positive comment with a negative one? lol

I think Ron's actually been on record saying he likes pissing off the book fans. I'm sure he gets a kick out of it at any rate.

The Americans is WAY better than this. Watching GoT last night a few hours after Outlander makes a really stark (haha!) comparison as well.

So only people who luuuuuuurve the show can express their opinions here?

I don't expect to here.

I don't know what else you watch but it seems like you're probably missing out.

I mean, you're of course entitled to your opinion, but I do not think she has anywhere near as challenging material nor is she giving a remotely comparable performance. Could be the writing and directing, could be that her best work is ending up on the cutting room floor.

Not just the episode- the whole series so far, and the failure to actually develop the characters and relationship. I can't care about their loss in this episode when there has been no reason to care about them before.

PITA, sure. Lemon-sucking, stick up her bum, cold shrew? Mmmmmm, no.

I'm a fan of the GoT books and the show; Outlander the show is not where NEAR the quality of GoT the show. Not by a long shot. This Outlander belongs on Lifetime or Hallmark .

No, we are not the same person, but having read a lot of Sigrid's comments, I'm flattered.

You would actually put her on the level of, for instance, Claire Danes in Homeland or Robin Wright in House of Cards (and so on)? Sorry, I just don't see how anyone could honestly put her in that league.

But, IMO, it did not feel real at all and that is why I don't understand why anyone was crying through the whole episode. I could get that it reminds the viewer of the feeling of a personal loss and having to say good bye. That's the only reason I had any emotional response at all- not having children myself, it

Downside of being a fan of this book- I keep hoping the show will get better and do the story and characters justice.

Could be- it was something along those lines (I thought the way she phrased whatever she said made it seem like Brianna was indeed a plot device and Diana wasn't interested in developing her as much as the otgers, but I could very well have just inferres that at the time), and it seems like it shows in her character

Guess I am lucky to have never seen Grey's Anatomy.

Hmmm, I see it is honesty.
