AKA Prison Guard Who Loses His NBA Tryout When A Prisoner Slashes His Achilles Tendon from OZ? (Going old school.)

Could be worse. You could get the God-awful Taboo reviewer to handle your show.

Dear Lord, I had more respect for her when I thought she was just a 22-year-old intern.

Haha, my fault for coming to a once-respected pop culture site expecting halfway-decent reviews. Based on the opinions of the current writing staff, guess I need to start watching [glances right] SmackDown or Legends Of Tomorrow.
And I believe the term you want is "snowflake." If you're gonna troll in 2017, at least

I can sympathize with the reviewer's inability to review this show except through the lens of what SHE WANTS IT TO BE, DAMMIT!
Because I keep coming to the AV Club expecting quality, thoughtful discussion of smart television (of the kind this site had three years ago)…. And instead I'm subjected to sophomore-level

Your whole schtick is a fake Mads Mikkelsen and you're calling ME labored??

^^ This dude makes shitty comments for people who think pretending-to-be-someone-famous avatars are hilarious.

Fact: Strangers Almanac > rest of Ryan's entire discography (Heartbreaker possibly excepted)

A steaming pile of turds is better than this review.

So this post came from an alternate timeline, right? When people needed to be told about this overlooked cult film called The Matrix?

Counter argument: Bryan Cranston is a national treasure and that monologue was flat out mesmerizing.

Except it was Darren Jessee (the drummer) who wrote the "Dumped" lyrics. Not Ben.

I did see their first "reunion" show at UNC. It was the first (only?) they played Reinhold Messner in order. #humblebrag

Best Ben Folds Five B-side ever?
My vote is "Emaline"… the live version from the "Where's Summer B?" single. (Yeah, I bought all the imports for way too much money too.)

Was this the reunited BFF? They're still solid, but seeing them in their heyday was something else. They had the energy of a punk band but with, ya know… Piano.
Also, Ben Folds on his first solo tour (before finances forced him to jettison the band) was amazing. THAT band was every bit as good as BFF, and Rockin' The

Big fan of BFF all the way back to the first album… First time I saw them live (Georgia Theater?), they were debuting a lot of new songs… Which turned out to be One Angry Dwarf, Stephen's Last Night In Town, and Song For The Dumped. So yeah, I was counting the days until WAEA got released.
One small point with the

Fun serendipity: I've been browsing old columns of The New Cult Canon (sidenote: AV Club, please bring back New Cult Canon) and just finished the article on Punch-Drunk Love. About 20 posts down the Comments section, there's a pretty substantial side foray into Garden State bashing.
Apparently, the AV Club from 9

Not a bad list, but I must've missed the entry for Bon Iver.
And Car Seat Headrest should be about 16-18 slots higher.

Take away the Crowes Nest bits, which didn't work, and this was a solid and wonderfully strange special. Found myself admiring more than laughing, but that's not a bad thing. Reggie is the one comedian where I truly have no idea what to expect… Every. Single. Time.

Always interesting how the reviewer's take of a show will align (or not) with the audience. Westwood got this same grade (B+) but it's clear from the viewer comments and grading that he's lowballing the show. Basically, everyone BUT the reviewer considered that an A-worthy finale.
