until there is an "H.I. McDunnough & Space Ghost Coast Coast" variety show on Cartoon Network this world will be a small, undeserving place.

the iPhone limitation does kind of suck, but since i own an iPhone i'm not complaining.

all your Yellow King are belong to us.

it was actually a mass homicide followed by a botched suicide but Shia & homicide works really well for me, too.

so … a year & a half into the zombie apocalypse & the gas is still running out to the rural areas?

the "12 Step meeting that is nothing like an actual 12 Step meeting" trope. whenever i see a character basking in the faux redemptive glow of a [fill in the blank] Anonymous meeting, i hope for them to go out in a drunken, drug-fueled, dissolute blaze of wanton behavior.

thanks to Michael Rapaport for giving "Justified" a much needed infusion of stupid & unconvincing - elements the show was sorely lacking in for 4 long seasons. also, special thanks to William Forsythe. the authentic air of menace he brought to an all too brief guest spot shows just how difficult it is for Michael

i've got my gripes with this episode & if i were getting paid to review it, i'd probably be torn between giving it a 'B' or a 'B+'. then i'd feel obliged to change the 'A' and 'A+' grades i gave to episodes 1 through 5 to 'A+ multiplied by infinity' just for consistency's sake.

astounding catch.

i hear ya. and i don't want to argue my points because they're just … my points. if i wasn't so smitten with everything about the show i wouldn't bother to even note the tiny complaints i have with this particular episode.

the 'C' is a surprise and if we do a 'compare & contrast' against other TV fare that the AV Club reviewed & awarded the same grade it seems an abomination. still, this episode is shoddy stuff for the standard that 'True Detective' has set for itself (e.g., Rust's, "I was in Alaska getting drunk for 8 years" line does

from this day forward i shall meet the rising sun & proclaim, "311, I am ready to fight."

the Lone Star front office is looking to make a big comeback with next week's promise of beer.

yeah - "he's wrapped up in a ditch."

everything about those three is terrible & terribly contrived (from Abraham's obvious dye job to Rosita's 'Daisy Duke' outfit to Eugene's zombie-bait affect). Glenn is just a few hours from being flu-ravaged & near death's door to trading blows with a guy who's got 60 lbs. on him (never mind his super-human running of

there's been a lot of homework suggested for "True Detective" fans, but i think spending a few hours watching Jack Nicholson work under Sean Penn's direction in "The Pledge" might help with the weekly Rust Cohle withdrawals.

if i had to bet money on it, i'd go with the later.

Teleos Delorca says, "Don't look at me, man. I don't even exist."

holy effin' shitballs!

my theory is starting to wither but Lange definitely says, "Talkin' about how she met a king" in Episode 1 prior to finding Dora's journal & its mention of the 'YELLOW King' & 'Carcosa' in Episode 2.
